Garner came on as a sub on Tuesday
Yes, but you know I was otherwise occupied to notice!!
Grigg and Vaughan both out , Garner startsWHAT?? Must be injured? Who is Garner?
Evans and Gibson should be on.
2 -1. Nail biter. High Blood pressure game!!
No need for full report as I can give you a very concise one now………’Fucking shite but 3 welcome points’ !
It was better than that. I quite enjoyed it to be honest even without drink.
Not a classic but great Sam Morsey goal, some ridiculous skills from Powell, great wing back play by both our youngsters, especially James who was mom, a great cameo from Gibson, just watch him he sat in there for twenty minutes and our two centre halves and midfielders suddenly became a unit. Add to some good goalkeeping y Hulls keeper plus comedy defending by Kipre, found it an enjoyable night made by the win of course.
These forii are great …. I totally agree with all you say, it’s lovely to have another more positive opinion. Despite what I said, I also enjoyed the trip, and agree with you about Powell and the wing backs. G O Y.
There were moments and spells of reasonable atmosphere, when drummer boy got beating his drum and ES1 launched into full voice. That said it wasn’t the best and there were times when it was certainly pretty flat. However, despite the game starting with a real flurry in which we looked as if my prediction of 4 – 0 would for once be correct, after a sloppy give away goal to them it became pretty turgid. The second half was dreary where Hull often looked as if they were a tad keener to get a result, and were often 1 step ahead. With turgidity and a few wayward passes it was difficult to crank up a good atmosphere. All the same, in amongst the small group of good people I sit with in ES7, we had a fun, laughter full, noisy time – creating our own little good micro – atmosphere.
It is a shame for Hull. I went to see them a couple of season ago at Leicester; Prem days, and the Hull away fans cranked up a crakin’ atmosphere at the King Power. It’s hard to imagine that that choir of several thousand has now been reduced to a couple of hundred.
I blame global warming, not booze.
Full report to follow later.
Could be better than tonight.
Hopefully, you’ll make your home debut at a tenner. :)
Bristol City took 1812 to WBA last night, so I’d be disappointed if less than 1,000 made the trip.
9712 for me. At a tenner, if it doesn’t beat the Hull game then Wiganers are officially the tightest sports fans going.
Oi!! I know generalisations are there for a reason – they can be right – but last night not only did I stay the night in Wigan at a posh and selubrious Brocket Arms, I also travelled back and forth on a first class virgin. I wont mention that the Brocket was the cheapest rate in town when I booked and the first class ticket was a complimentary …… BUT the intention was there. oh, I went to the shop as well and bought some ‘sale’ t-shirts for £1, plus st holder discount!!!! I’m not having it said we are ‘tight’. But I bought my st!!
9013 – GG
oh dear; what as shame; this is a dreadful disease. Poor poor guy.

Thanks Jason …. always good to have an explanation rather than just speculation.
You want locking uphahahaha …… I think you want me locking up!!!!!
Thanks Horc!! Very kind. You don’t realise …. it’s all perfectly normal!!
I don’t for a moment believe the words ‘dull’ and ‘unimginative’. Just different.
I’m surprised you weren’t at the game BUT what I do know is that I won this weeks ‘guess the gate’ competition. 10 points on the board for me please!!
I was just seeing what other clubs thought about it when I stumbled across this forum. If you scroll down you will notice the obligatory piss take out of our support!

Stumbled across this did you say fil.. Way back from 2010
Yeah, Googled ‘Music played after goals scored’ !
This bleeding tablet drops text from posts on occasions fil so when I clicked submit there was a smiley face and comment about their prawn sandwich brigade lot.
Ps, old Trafford could do with some music as their place was atmosphere free when we played them in the cup last time.
Jimmy … Totally agree. I was expecting something special on our trip to oT. The biggest surprise of the week was what a sterile un-atmospheric place it was. Thank heavens us lot were there. I’ve never been to such a ‘silent’ stadium. Quite odd.
If you pick the right song its brilliant for keeping the crowd on their feet after we score. Big yes from me.
I see it differently Nuneaton – there’s few sports that see such spontaneous & prolonged celebrations for things than football and its that spontaneity & hell for leather celebrations that are one of its attractions for me.
I know it’s an extraordinary game & example, but think back to the FA Cup final in 2013. Remember how you felt, remember how you celebrated & then think about the celebrations that were all over youtube & social media (“OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD!!!”) and then think about the celebrations that were on TV (some fella with long hair looking like he was gonna explode whilst punching the air & another bloke behind him with an inane grin on his face, eyes popping out of his head whilst just grabbing & shaking anyone within reach of him)
Now go back to that moment & within a few seconds, cut it all dead by playing some music that does nothing but stop everyone’s spontaneous
OK celebrations & has everyone doing some crappy, cheesy co-ordinated danceKeep the goal music or similar for ice hockey, rugby league or 20/20 cricket but please keep it away from football
Totally disagree, it gets the owd uns like me off my seat and jigging around like a fitting seal. Also bugs the away fans to death seeing the blue masses dancing in unison. Its a modern thing and one that should be kept. What I can’t understand is why some of our fans moan about the tune. They obviously don’t go to many away games as the club tends to choose tunes that we have chants to. Little Wigin are taking the piss for example, the Tom Hawk ditty.
JR TotTALLY agree with you. I love reacting the dance of the fitting seal when ever I can!! But I can only do it to music!
