‘I’m only here for the beer…well it is Double Diamond. Used to drink it in 70s, thankfully I’m a more discerning drinker now!

    Her description!

    in reply to: Ground move #185077

    To relate to Nuneaton’s comment about United fans (but not women and football, no siree), I (GA) started a riveting conversation last week with a female work colleague (FWC). I said:

    GA: “It’s a famous or rather infamous date today”

    FWC: “Today, why?”

    GA: “It relates to football”

    FWC: “Don’t know, sorry”

    GA: “Munich air disaster”

    FWC: “Which team’s that then?”

    GA: “Manchester United”

    FWC: “Oh, I should know that, I’m a Manchester United fan”

    GA: “If you go to Old Trafford there’s a clock showing the date and stopped at the time of the accident”

    FWC: “Oh, I don’t go”

    Allan Brown.

    Teale, Teale will tear you apart again!

    When he was warming up for Derby we sang “Teal, Teal will fall on his arse again “
    He took it well

    Fair play to him. Signed for us in the third tier, when Jewell was being slagged off left, right and centre, helped us get to the Premier league and stay there, and played for Scotland before they were crap.
    He did alright for us really
‘…played for Scotland before they were crap.’

    Crap, crapier or crapiest?

    Have you got any examples of teams changing managers at it not making a difference?

    …..go through the thread and tell me where exactly I abused anyone.

    ‘Do one you cock.’

    Im referring to the fact hes clearly a goon supporting troll nunny lad

    You’ll be telling us there is no Father Christmas next.

    in reply to: Mowbray comments… #183087

    Nah……I think he’s comments are fair,and at present he’s proved he’s a far superior manager to our lost cause. League table proves that.

    Better manager, better players, better club, in all honesty. I can’t actually believe we have sold 1800 tickets for it. Absolute gluttons for punishment, I think.

    Worries me big time, because they are not going to sack Cook over the festive period, so he will still be here when the transfer window starts…I wouldnt give Cook a penny.

    Things dont look very good at the moment.
Why do you keep having a go at the fans just cos they support their team?. We all know how bad we are doing away from home, but a team is for life not just for the good times. If you don’t want to go that’s your perogative, don’t keep having a pop at the loyal supporters there is no need for it.
Not having a go at supporters, just surprised we’ve sold 1800 tickets for a game 2 days before Christmas. Given our away record as well.
Cheap tickets;
    Kids for a quid and they’re off school;
    Its only 30 miles up the road;
    A win would take Latics out of the relegation zone and if they did it, ‘supporters’ would want to be there.
Well, I am a supporter, but I don’t want to be there. I will watch it on tv in the warmth, with a jd and coke and assorted nibbles from the £100 voucher I used at M&S food on Robin Park today. Lovleh.
I answered your comment ‘…just surprised we’ve sold 1800 tickets for a game 2 days before Christmas.’, with reasons why they would go. I would also hazard a guess that those not going would have various reasons not to, but few would say ‘I don’t want to be there’.

    Supporter? More like ‘Fair weather friend’ – A person whose friendship cannot be relied on in times of difficulty

    Goalkeepers shouldn’t drink and dive.

    I’ll get me coat

    Ok then….the guy half of us wanted sacked.

    It’s still the same point, people didn’t like Martinez and said he was clueless, wasted transfer money, said the same things in defeat and was out of his depth in the same way they now say them about Cook, and yet they want Martinez back.

    Just to put the record straight. Only I made a tongue in cheek comment about Bobby Lad coming back, hence the exclamation mark. I am aware that his current situation is slightly more desirable too!

    in reply to: New Manager Options #182592

    The Royle’s need to get to Burnley and offer Bobby Lad the job!

    The same Bob we all wanted sacked?
All?
Well, most on here definitely did
I seem to recall it was roughly a 50/50 split and the start of light and dark sides.
