What a sanctimonious and sycophantic post! Have you ever thought that we might be of a more passionate nature, not a bad trait in my eyes! You have called fans before today for rising out of their seats in your stand and getting animated, well that is a passionate fan and there is nothing wrong with it! Fans come from all manner of backgrounds but come match day they are one in my book and just because some happen to have degrees and the like and work in an office environment, they are no better than say the working class guy who works on a shop floor or on a building site! Football matches are a far far cry from the sterile atmosphere of your typical office !
Not really. But it’s clearly touched a nerve with you. Why are linking the ability to support a club properly with where you work? What utter nonsense. Again!
It amazes me how some fans view the more positive and loyal supporters as lacking passion because they don’t scream, shout and spit dummies. As people above have written, there have been far worse performances and situations in the past. Perhaps the “Lightside” have a better understanding of life in general and understand that they must make the best of good times because they know that there are the occasional bad times just around the corner.
There is no doubt Dave Whelan has made some serious errors of judgement lately (some of which we will undoubtedly never know) which have led to the rapid decline of our club from the heady days of 2013. There are so many variables involved and is not as simple as “play two up front”. He has not abandoned us however and I am confident that he will make sure that the good times return in the not too distant future.
The reason that I don’t shout and scream is because:
1. I have seen it all before.
2. Dave Whelan’s heart and wallet have always been in the right place.
3. Mistakes and errors of judgement are inescapable in the real world.
4. I prefer to suffer with a little bit of dignity (Stoicism used to be admired in my day)PS Don’t ever compare Dave Whelan with those clowns at Blackpool!
Not for the first time, I doff my cap to you, sir. Couldn’t agree more, though I do wish I could resist jumping in with both feet sometimes on here. It’s one of the reasons why I don’t visit the forum anything like as much as I used to. There are only so many times you can/should bang your head against the wall.
Of all your points, the one I agree with most is this nonsensical idea that those of us who remain positive and support what the club tries to do don’t actually realise that mistakes have been made and are totally happy with things at the club. Blind faith, if you will. Just because we don’t throw huge tantrums and sulk like kids when things go wrong. Like any of them have the first idea what it is like to try to run a football club.
What’s the old adage, empty vessels make most sound?
League One won’t be no walk in the park that’s for sure! There were a few blind faith merchants
Not that I personally am a blind faith merchant – despite, and not caring at all, what you and the Preston know-nowts might think – but I’d rather be one of those than a miserable, negative moaning twat.
I really don’t know why some of you lot even bother watching Wigan (note I didn’t say supporting) as you seem to hate everything about it.
I don’t come from Preston? I haven’t said that I am not going to buy a season ticket, I said I shall wait and see! Do you think that there will be the same home following next season? I am willing to bet that there are a few thousand less! It’s a wheat from the chaff scenario as far as you ‘Goole Away’ merchants are concerned and deep down you love it! You would say nothing if we went down again next season and again you would berate the fans who moan but it is those that moan that really care in my opinion! We should NOT have gone down this season and some of us pointed out the glaring errors that were being made whilst the ‘True Supporters’ as you like to be called just sat back and took it on the chin without a fuckin whimper! Some of you even tried to get behind Whelan and his hairbrained idea to bring in Malky Mackay! You really couldn’t make this shit up ! :)
I’m supposed to take lessons in supporting this club from you??? That’s almost as mental as Horc thinking he can manage the team!!

Coyle and Rosler weren’t interested in youth development either. Not sure about Malky. From what I’ve heard, Malky wasn’t that bothered about being too hands on with the first team, let alone the development and youth teams
Development squad. There’s a clue, there
I was told last night that we have a home friendly with a Turkish club but I don’t know how reliable his info is.That’ll be a delight
Go on, Mighty – print this thread off and show it to your boss so he can see how clever people think you are
We want our club back. We want real football! Are you trying to get that sound-bite to catch on? Because it makes you sound about 14. Do you go to the meet and greets, too?
If Bob had have let the players play the way they did in the FA Cup then we may well have been entertaining Chelsea today in the annual relegation dogfight. Just ask Lostock and Horc they endured much more of his dull as dishwater negative bilge than I could face at the time.
Why would any of us bother listening to them, any more than we would bother listening to you?
Spot on Donny.
Don’t take notice of any closet Mancs !
Self-praise is no recommendation lad, but I suppose it’s all you know-nowt, broken record menks are likely to get.

About three week’s away, same old dullards, same old shite.
See you in August when hopefully lots of you have nobbed off back where you came from
I have no words.
Irony does my job for me.
As cocky and condescending (look it up) as I may well be on here, I have never, ever declared that EVERYBODY on here, bar me, is a prick, which is what you said. Now who’s doing irony?
Sorry to have to correct you once more Griff but the word was pillock, not prick and it was in response to one of the biggest pillocks on here. In hindsight there are one or two with the mental capacity to see what has been going on for nearly as long as me so to those people, apologies.
However fair play for getting the first part of your post correct. Thumbs up winky thing.
Go away, you boring prick. Nobody, but nobody who matters, gives a fuck what you think. You are the biggest broken record that has ever existed on this forum.
At least those menks from Leyland talk shite about a few different subjects from time to time not like you, a one-trick donkey
