I personally do think that Riera is a better option than Fortune, but more educated people than me don’t.

I think that we have no-one better at holding up the play and bringing other players into the play than Fortune but unfortunately, as a goalscorer, he is woeful.

I’m not sure Riera can play that lone striker role from what little I have seen, but I think he would be better in front of goal than Fortune.

It would appear that Mackay prefers Fortune’s hold-up play. He may even think he is a better goalscorer, but I wouldn’t necessarily agree with that. As some of us have consistently been saying, it doesn’t really matter what we think. I imagine that no amount of us telling Mackay that he’s a clueless wanker on this forum will get him to change his mind.

For what it’s worth, I think Delort is better at fancy flicks and posting selfies on Twitter than both Riera and Fortune, but other than that…

Sorry Griff if you read the comment it was congratulating the Nob End marketing department for doing what they are meant to be doing not congratulating Nob End. Why don’t you Piss off and start watching Bolton you would fit in well there.

Why’s that? Do they support their team and club rather than moan like fuck about absolutely everything they do? In which case, yes, I would.

Hopefully you’ll get invited to the next forum with Malky.

I was invited to the last one thanks.
Me too, ten-a-penny those manager forums

Somebody’s a bit upset because no-one agrees with them, aren’t they?

    Lad?

That was a rant Griff, hope you feel better.

Now go and stick your head back up that arsehole you’re talking about or get back on the booze. Fckin ell, only done a day and you sound like our maude, lad.

You’re married? Fuck me, poor wench.

    in reply to: Delort #137662
Nope, you’ve completely missed the point yet again.

On you go then, seeing as you’re all very happy with what we’re putting out at the moment.

No lad, you’ve missed the point. None of us are happy, obviously not. But the very thought that you think you have anything approaching the level of experience or knowledge for you opinion to be taken as a serious alternative when compared to the bunch professional football people employed by the club is absolutely laughable. By all means, have an opinion – after all every arsehole has one of those, unless I’m mixing up my sayings – but just leave it at that. Even Donny’s allowed an opinion

Maybe they think they’ve got a bargain if they play to his strengths.

Maybe they can see what pretty much everyone apart from 95% of people connected to Wigan Athletic can’t see.

Maybe, just maybe, a maybe will become an I told you so.

    Are you his agent?

Maybe, just maybe, a bunch of professional football people who see these lads day in day out and see how well/badly they train/fit in to the English way of life know more than a few know-nowt armchair moaning twats.

    Just maybe.

Well done PNE marketing. Doing their job. I didn’t even know Tuesdays match was a tenner till I heard officer a Wednesday fan walking down to the ground. Then we find ticket offices are not even open. Ten thousand empty seats and potential new fans miss the kick off. Top Latics marketing as ever.

Why don’t you go and support PNE if they’re so good then, and do everyone a favour?

    You’re never a size 36 waist jeans!32 or 34 max but never 36! I’m 34!

36 mate, honestly. But, as I say, I’m usually constantly hitching them up! ;)
So you are an uncomfortable and nipping 34 really! I just half my portions for a month when I get to my max limit ( 15 stone ) A month of halving everything usually has me comfortable at 14 stone or thereabouts! A doctor whose windows I cleaned once told me that the BMI thing is a croc of shite and I have to agree with her. The reason I agree is because the nurse at my annual check thingy me bob did mine and said that I had to lose 2 stone in order to attain my perfect BMI ! I was 14.7 when she weighed me, can you imagine what I would look like if I lost 2 stone!! Heroin chic is what I would look like!! :) I start to look ill and gaunt if I drop below 13 and a half! I did it a few year back and a couple of my customers started to enquire about my well being!!
Agree 100% about BMI. I’m probably a 35 waist.

13st 11 after the Christmas festivities and looking to get back to 12st 9-ish. Not really that fussed to be honest but I’d like my belly to not stick out further than my moobs if I can make it happen.

Holt must be one of, if not the worst signing this club has ever made? 1.4m a year in wages for a bloke who has played a handful of games for us.. I suspect Holt will see his contract out til the end as nobody else outside the prem could afford him.

Well, seeing as he’s going to be out injured until a few months shy of the end of his contract, I suspect you’re right.

Wonder whether the club can get his contract paid up/cancelled via insurance? Not really sure how these things work.

He is nowt on Bobby Todd Johny King Billy Sutherland Darren Sheridan Lee Catermole Graham Kavanagh or Graham Barrow.

He isn’t, you’re right. They could all tackle properly if they wanted to
Sorry griff, can’t let you off with Bobby Todd. Yes he would get his tackle in

Eventually and usually with a leg and not the ball.
Fair enough, I’m not old enough to remember him, anyway ;)
