Bobbys wigan is still papping on about £80 million the crackpot 8-)
Is he? I am trying to preserve my sanity by either totally ignoring or only briefly scanning posts by him and some of our other (un)notable posters so I may well have missed that.
Won’t be a bad back-up on a short term deal while we only have 1 left backAgreed, but try explaining that – and how the transfer window works – to the likes of BobbysWigan
13 November 2009 at 1:12 pm in reply to: Feedback from MOTD2 about their crowd size obsession vs Fulh #12947We’ve lost 3 semi finals, 1 quarter final and a final.More Asti or Pomagne than Champagne, then? :D
I’ll have to let you into a little secret though that many of the old posters already know – I am a bit of an egg sympathiser myself. Gives me no pleasure seeing our town’s rugby team go downhill and win jack for the last donkey’s years.
Figgy to Sunderland for £5m and as his replacement we have another freebie on trial with no club in Michael Ball? Not one bit of the money we are recieving from all these player sales is being reinvested. I have in the past joked about Whelan to wind some fans up on here, but im really starting to wonder what his plans for our club.
Soon we will be the only club in the premier league to be made up of a squad of players which cost nothing.
Its inevitable what will happen to us sooner or later, im amazed were still here with the lack of funding. As well as obsessed, you are clearly non-too bright either. How, pray tell, are we supposed to spend some money on a left-back in November when the transfer window is shut?
Tell you what, why don’t you keep yout powder dry until Jan 1st and then we can see whether money is being spent or not?
12 November 2009 at 5:23 pm in reply to: Feedback from MOTD2 about their crowd size obsession vs Fulh #12828Howd on a minute were did the forty thousend come from when they won the challenge cup surely not bandwagan jumpers
Which year would that be?
1985,1988-95 or 2002? :oDid it finish in 2002? Nowt happened since then?
How about 3-4 vs Doncaster, late 80’s. 2-0 down with 15 minutes to go, rain sweeping across the ground, stuck in the cage, fans turning on each other. To bang in 3 late goals
I remember having a never-ending cup of (cold) bovril that day. F****** freezing.
Weren’t there a couple of broken legs in that game too?
11 November 2009 at 4:11 pm in reply to: Feedback from MOTD2 about their crowd size obsession vs Fulh #12753banjo – know what you’re saying, but I don’t think they really addressed my point, which is why I replied again. If they’re going to waste that amount of time on it rather than showing the match they should at least give a balanced view. Thats what I was saying, and they didn’t answer that.
You’re lucky they even took the time to reply at all, you’ve no chance of getting into a proper debate with them.
Apparently Robert Enke has thrown himself under a train in an apparent suiside….Apparently so
Just made me smile that a picture of an empty visitors’ end is on the front page of this site, and so many were poking fun at Fulham’s away following. Its like two identical twins squabbling over a toy.
I think kettle calling the pot black was the analogy you were looking for but feel free to keep on making up your own
Oh grow up. I didnt come on and mention s-hit crowds did I?No you didn’t. And?
I’m a bit surprised nobody has mentioned:Beating Chelsea in the FA Cup.
Beating Chelsea in the League Cup.
Drawing at Chelsea in the FA Cup (shame about the replay!)
Everton in the FA Cup.
Beating Port Vale 5-3 after being 3-0 down.
First promotion (was it v Walsall?).or are these a bit too far back for most folk on here?
Probably because we have so many to choose from.
It beats:-
Beating Manly.
Beating St Helens
Beating St Helens – again
Only losing to St Helens by a fewscotland is a good player, who will get better. he is improving every game. I seem to recall our last front man who everybody thought was great, not being a goal scorer.
[/quote]
I thought he was excellent at Burnley but not much came off for him against Fulham. Then again, he was up against a very good centre-back in Hangeland.
To be honest, I think any front man would struggle to score many in this current formation and tactic. I think it is designed to bring the midfield players in more. I would expect it to be a tough role to play in the Premier League.
please show me where I said you shot your load.I think you should learn to read before making a c nt of yerself.
I think for these purposes, “shot my load” = “orgasm” Alan, er Mr Logic, er , oh, I don’t know who I am talking to now :?
I suppose so, but now next time he comes out with a similar quote. Other clubs will know they can get him down to a decent price. And Chimbonda at the time was worth about £6millionThat’s on the next page of “Negotiating for Dummies”
Well, Whelan said after Pascal gave in a transfer request, “He’s available for £6 million, not a penny less” Kinda contradicted himself by selling him for £4millionWell, I’m sure you would be one of the first to say that nothing that comes out of Whelan’s mouth can be believed, anyway.
And I would also say that the type of statement you quoted above can be found in the first few pages of “Negotiating for Dummies”
