Speaking to a mate of mine who watched La Liga last night and one of the commentators let slip about him going to Villareal at the end of the season. Just wondering if anyone else heard it, and if anyone thinks the rumour may be true. I have heard mention that Bob may not stay beyond this season but I understood he had signed an extension to his contract.

Being in Spain and commentating I would imagine that he would hear things, rumours regarding certain individuals. He mentioned it last night then apologised that he shouldn’t have shared that information. All I asked was had anyone else heard it and would they think it could be true.

Try and stay away from the negative past (it really did happen!!)and look to the future .Fantastic series of performances and credit to Robbie and all the players .The question I pose is being that the playing staff is the same and the formation has been tweeked then why the sudden huge improvement ?Is it that the players feel more comfortable with this system ? or did the relegation threat suddenly wake them up ?Not sure but if we stay up which is nailed on if we can keep up this form can Bob get them to start a season??? We have been superb of late which I put down to Bob’s change of formation which was greatly needed as for the best part of two and a half years we had been dross. So yes he seems at last to be playing a system that suits but would he have survived at any other club???

I have warmed to RM since he stopped being obstinate and changed things around a little ! The main change is to have included Maloney who I am led to believe has not been injured since he arrived in Wigan ! The placing of certain players on the bench instead of in the starting line up has also aided our revival ! The board will settle down now that we are getting results, that’s the nature of a football forum so sorry to disappoint anyone who thought that the spat would continue ! We are almost united as one now in the quest for survival !!

And I am just gloating a bit as Roberto is now repaying the faith that I had in him as a manager (the best young manager in europe).
Obviously you could’nt smell a good manager if he was right under your nose in your own club.

I think the performances recently have been of the highest level since Roberto took over at the club and way above that of last season providing a solid foundation that can be built upon.
Last season alot of the credit has to go to the way N’Zogbia played individually…
We are currently by no means as one dimensional and reliant on a fairly unreliable player to win games.
