I think selling him to a relegation rival would be a masterstroke are you all raving bonkers
I agree 100% not the greatest idea ever, it’s just a pity they don’t want Caldwell and Gohouri they would guarantee we finish above them
I think in a good team playing with a strike partner he would be worth 15 or more goals a season. If thats the case £60,000 a week is a snip.
August wasnt that bad either – some on here were talking about Europe! Its been over 5 months since a home win, and if Everton avoid defeat on 4 Feb, it will be 6 months at least as the next home game isnt until 25 Feb.
The only talking about Europe Tics fans will ever do is planning next years holidays I’m afraid.
no but its hugos fault that he a lazy twat. his movement off the ball is pathetic at times thats why he hasnt scored. i wud rip their hands of for six million. if it wud get reinvested. if it doesnt get reinvested i may join the whealan out club because we will be doomed
Do you honestly believe in Bob’s one up front policy??? there are not many players in the world good enough to play that way. How many strikers has Bob tried in his time with us??? it’s no coincedence that none of them have ever scored goals. Anyway back to topic £6m for a player in the last year of his contract is good money but if we sell we need another striker as Sammon and Di Santo
i reckon it could work because it works with so many other teams. but the amount of times gomez or mcarthy get the ball in an advanced posistion and rodallega doesnt make a positive run and give them an option is scary. i dnt think the calibre of our strikers will ever score in the prem. but martinez has made the descicion to sign them all thats my criticism of bobby he as spent millions on shit strikers he cant afford to make the mistake again if hugo goes
I wouldn’t run for a killer ball off Gomez or McCarthy, why run up a dead end for 90 mins with hardly a prayer of decent service. Our midfield creates nowt and never ever gets beyond or up to the front man which has to happen if you play a loan striker. This is why we are the lowest scorers in the country it simply does not work.
so just because rodallega doesnt get it on a plate he is justified to be stagnant up top. i am sorry but if he doesnt make the runs then he has even less chance of scoring.if its come to the point where he doesnt want to do anythin other that shoot from 25yds to make himself look good then maybe he shud go.
On a plate!!! most of the time it’s not even in the same postcode and when he does get a pass he looks up for support and
Fernandez has already stated that if success doesnt come he will be off, this is a plaything to him make no mistake so to those who knock Mr Whelan should realise just how much this guy has achieved with our brilliant club.More importantly that when Mr Whelan finally relinquishes control he will leave us a really healthy position and securely sound a far cry from the dark days when he took over.
Your wasting your time trying to explain Nuneatonlatic. If we qualify for a Europa spot, some folk on here would moan at Bobby for not making Champions league.
We are struggling at the foot of the table at the moment for whatever reasons, therefore more than ever, we need to get behind the club. Simples, goodpost
jr are you taking the piss??? we are struggling at the foot of the table at the moment for whatever reason. I’ll tell you why were struggling at the foot of the table, Bob and his squad are not good enough.

Can’t make this game, will be in Cheshire, and no amount of pleading/bargaining with our Maude will work.Poor, poor planning on my part. However, when I’ve missed games in the past the team normally pulls off an exceptional performance – just to p1ss me off I suppose.
Hope so Micky, and if they do your going to have to organise more trips out with your Maude on match days ;)
July werent a bad un! ;)Quite right ;)
My opinion?I am on the side of getting as much as we can for him before Tuesday (regardless)because:
a). We cannot afford to lose him for nothing in the Summer.
b). There is no b).
However, if anyone within earshot, boo’s him when he next turns out for us will get feckin short shrift from yours truly. Whatever the views of some of the posters here – Hugo has been a great servant to the club; has scored some cracking, and important, goals; is our top scorer in the Premier League and has never upset the ‘Latics Family’ apple-cart.
It is unfortunate the method in which we found out about the news, however, the lad wants to move on, we want some dosh for him, and he needs our support on the field.
I for one will be giving him his customary “Hugo, Hugo, Hugo” chant when I next see him.
Well said Sir.
Hugo, Hugo, Hugo
didn’t the lightside tell us it was due to start with the bolton, blackburn, wolves, sunderland and QPR games as well ?
Quite true LMB, the truth is we are simply not good enough and Bob has to accept full responsibility and should by now IMO have been sacked.
And didn’t the darksiders predict we wouldnt get a point in December. You two are certainly keeping each other amused.
jr were bottom of the league FFS how can you try and take heart from any month so far???

Getting spurs out the way. We have a steady run till end of march of games we should be well worth some points. All the games through Feb and march, on our day we can win. So I suppose it’s upto the team now to decide whether they want to stay up or not.A slice of application and a knob of luck. We could actually stay up.
:blink:Unless Bob manages to sign some quality in the transfer window I fear were doomed

Remember Stoke????
Hugo is still our best chance of a goal.
I remember West Ham! If N’zog hadnt won that game on his own, Stoke would have been irrelevent.
Its no co-incidence that as soon as the most creative midfield player ever to wear the shirt leaves the DW, the goals dry up for Rodellega.
So it’s Hugo’s fault that Bob sold our most creative player and repalced him with Gomez???
No wonder we couldn’t hit a barn door.
Once again LMB gets sucked into debate and is rag dolled by yours truly. As soon as you resort to verbal abuse like calling me a tvvat you’ve as good thrown the towel in sunshine and I hope the mods are monitoring this.
I’ll let other posters make up their minds on who is the buffoon on here. Perhaps you could put your time to better use like penning a relegation song or summert. B)PS Read my post again and try and find where I said that Fernandes signed Warnock. I actually said allowed him to take up the elm which in football terms means allowed him to manage. example: “Dave Whelan will allow Martinez to take up the elm with Wigan Athletic for season No 8 in the EPL.”
Finally, I still believe Warnock to be a second rate manager, however I strongly believe is that he is not that stupid to come out to the media and say things about Fernandes, that would allow the filthy rich man to engage his filthy rich lawyers and take Warnock to the cleaners, like I do to you time and time again on here.
You need to get a life sunshine. :P
So you’ve never sworn or abused someone on this site have you not jr???
Hope the mods are monitoring this, grow up.
