Latics,
That says it all !!!
Get Jason Roberts back now, before we end up with some Championship striker or some Johnny Foreigner who needs 6 months to adapt.
JR was hardly prolific but is miles better than what we have at the moment.
Below is a list of the players I think would be good enough for the Championship next season as long as we have a proper manager and coaches.
If a miracle occurs and we stay up, I would start next season with just the top five of these.Al habsi
Figueora
McCarthy
Moses
McManaman
Rodalegga
Alcaraz
McArthur
Di Santo
StamThe following might as well go now along with the management team as they are not Championship standard never mind PL.
Gohouri
Caldwell
Gomez
Sammon
Boyce
Kirkland
Jones
Crusat
MaloneyBoyce? Are you sure?
Gomez was one of the Championship players of the year when he last played there, so why won’t he be good if he went back there?
I’ll give you Boycie, it was just an age thing with him.
But Gomez, c’mon, he is shite.
But he was outstanding last time he played in the Championship. The problem with him at this level is he needs a good team around him to do his hard work and actually make themselves available for a pass. We haven’t got that team and so he looks shite.
But will we have the quality next season to afford the luxury of Mr Gomez??
I was under the impression that senoir Gomez contract is up at the end of the season
Thank fuck
What is this weeks excuse ? It wasn’t City, it was 3rd from bottom who were doin pretty badly themselves ! Perhaps it was because we were away !! I really don’t think anyone can come on here and defend that garbage any more !!Oh yes they will, just you wait the usual suspects will be out in force.
Graeme Jones feels maybe it is time for Roberto Martinez to go. What do you think?I agree with Jonesy 100%, fuck off Bob
make me laugh this lot we’ve fek all money and they want 5 star players on megga money :S :S
thirty were have I ever said we should be spending millions??? we ain’t got a pot to piss in. So we have to be careful with the little money we have, hold on a minute lets by all Wolves fringe players because Wolves are Ace
Or alternatively why would wolves let a player from there squad join a relegation rival ?
May be because he ain’t good enough because if Mick McCarthy rates him he wont let him come on loan and we wont be able to afford
Well thats sorted then Mr football brain hindley as decreed he his not good enough :(
thirty I don’t often agree with you but I can usually see we’re your coming from, until now. Mr Football brain, how old are you??? I think it should be three not thirty. The point I was making was if Mick McCarthy thinks he is any good he won’t let him come to a rival relegation team on loan as Standish pointed out. Or if we try to buy him he would be to expensive unless the manager does not think he’s good enough.

If we can get him for free and he’s not on great wages he is exactly what were looking for. Bob will role out the usual Bollock’s about how he can play in numerous positions and we have been watching him for Months.
Shit or bust tomorrow, a defeat and I fear that’s it. Don’t even think a draw is good enough at this stage of the season in our position :(
What do you think I need to do to improve?Don’t post ;)
QPR were unlucky two defflected goals, and how many times did they hit the post
they are a better side than back then SWP will ruin our shabby deffenceShould have gone to specsavers!!!! did you not watch them the other night they where cak,and it says it all when a bloke who hadnt scored for 7 yrs gets the winner
Oh thats ok then, we’ll win easy
Back to the original post. I would have liked Klasnic he knows were the net is and has Premiership experience.
I believe we are after loan signings so why wont players come??? At the end of the season they would fook off back to their clubs anyway no matter what division were in :woohoo:
Ah….they’ve changed the picture now to Jimmy himself rather than Mr Macarthur therefore rendering my post meaningless. And before Griff and Co get in there “i know, they’re always meaningless!”
Well done Lowton at least someone reads your posts :woohoo:
I’ve said it before but no-one system/formation is inherently better than the other no matter what some people on either side of the dark/light side might argue. The best formation to play is the one that suits the playing personnel that you have at the club. For me the 4-5-1 historically used by Bobby or the 3-4-2-1 (possibly a 5-4-1 system depending on how you look at it) used recently doesn’t make the best use of the playing personnel at the club, primarily in my opinion, because none of the strikers are suited to the lone striker role
Again only my opinion but I think that all of them (& Boselli) would look better in a traditional 2 up front
Then again I don’t have my FA coaching badges like our Bob so what the feck do I know??
He has said many times Hugo cannot play the loan strikers role so what did he do Monday
The sooner Fig goes to left wing back with less defensive duties the better. He is dangerous going forward but sometimes in defence he plays like a 6 year old.
He also passes the ball like 6 year old, or he’s colour blind, or both.
But apart from him not being able to tackle, being frequently caught out of position, constantly giving the ball away, liable to panic and make the wrong decision, he’s not a bad player!
But in my humble opinion was still the pick of our back 3
My post was a tad ironic but nevertheless I’m wondering why you thought he was any better than Caldwell or Alcaraz last night?
I’m better than Caldwell, he is absolute shite and Alcaraz just seems to drift in and out of the game. What the fuck was he doing when City scored??? if you can’t win the header at least make sure the striker can’t.
Thanks for your well reasoned, perceptive and informative response.
No probs Sammy any time
