May not be a bad thing with all our injured players..It is a game we would look at for three points at the start of the season..but they are playing well at the moment..oops I mean picking up points..Am i ready for a second serving of dross in one week?

I work nights so would struggle to make a mid week game so I hope we play and of course win.

Anyone else think he could do well as our next manager ?

Are you taking the urine??? He along with Bryan Robson are 2 of the worst managers ever.

I would rather keep (I never thought I would say this) Bob

I think in time Stam will be a good signing for us it just seems to me he is still trying to get to grips with the physical side of the English game.

He needs time to settle so lets give the guy a chance.

            Fo oking hell
Iam a Tics fan and always will be, just cause I have issue’s with the manager does not mean I think all the team is crap. Far from it I believe we have the nucleous of a good side and played the right way I don’t think we would be struggling which is why I get so upset

Are the first 2 posters forgetting that he was part of the defence last season that shipped in 70 odd goals

Now this seasons defence are far from perfect but their goals per game ratio is better than it was last season

May be but still 20 times better than both Caldwell’s put together.

…he then played all his career in the bottom two divisions most notably at Rotherham till we signed him

He played for Rotherham in the Championship before signing for Wigan, and last time I checked, that is one of the TOP two divisions. Pollitt was outstanding at Rotherham, so you either watch no other football other than Wigan, or have been watching only since 2005.
I have been watching Wigan since Non League and went to Rotherham more than I care to remember. Pollit was outstanding at Rotherham but should he still be on the books as a player for a Premier League team.

                  IMO no.

And even if we do stop up my opinion will still be the same the manager has not got a clue and watching his team play his tactics is like pulling teeth.

And listening to your repetitive and ill-informed (see Pollitt thread) rants is like waiting for new teeth to grow, and then pulling them out yet again.
Which bit was ill-informed? I think you will find that what I said regarding a career in the lower league’s was correct.

So just cause we don’t agree all my opinions or rants as you call them are ill-informed. Why don’t you open your eyes, we aren’t third bottom of our league because we are a good side. We played a team on Saturday who had won one game all season and got spanked. Need I say more

A bad performance and th’usual suspects crawl out of the hovels.

Don’t hear a peep or a compliment when good performances are seen, just the same old inane drival when it sounds like we had a bad ‘un (because the vast majority will have heard it/seen it in the pub, as I very much doubt they went, a couple yes, majority no.).

IF we stay up, what will their excuse be?

Do you actually believe we will stop up??

He did have great games for us LMB Arsenal being his stand out game but he played all his career in the bottom two divisions. So obviously no one in the top two divisions thought he was good enough either.

I think you should come up with a decent arguement instead of getting personal you c*ck.

You all need to get a grip. ‘Oh it’s all Martinez’s fault’ Blah blah blah.. Idiots. :)

Well who is to blame??? Bob’s team, Bob’s tactics, Bob’s players. Seems to me he may be playing some part in our absolutely shoite last two seasons.

                            What do you think James?
Don’t think you can pin all the blame on him BaconTits x
James I asked you a question and all you can come back with is this shoite. I don’t even no you, do I?

                              Martinez interview on Sky Sports:-

This guy has ben spouting the same old retoric for at least 12 months. Instead of Sky keeping interviewing him. Why don’t they just replay the same interview. As it’s the same story “Unlucky” “Self Inflicted” ” 5 players Missing” “Got to learn” “Disallowed Goal made a difference” etc. etc. Never once has he admittted to making the wrong team selection. It’s everybodies fault except mine…. Oh! one change. From saying “Goals don’t matter” its’ now “Goals are a major aspect of the game”
Well Roberto you’ve just told me something I have been unaware of after watching football for 50 years. As they say “You Live And Learn”

He has to go and if he loved the club as much as he says he would do the decent thing and resign.

it is a disgrace that he is still on our books as a player. He was never good enough back in the day

The only disgrace is that comment. Never good enough back in the day? Please provide your supporting evidence.

I’ll provide mine in his favour.

Everytime he was called upon he never let us down. His form kept John Filan out of the starting 11 in our first season in the premiership. His performance against Arsenal at Highbury in the semi finals arguably kept us in the game to help us reach our first major final in our history. He is by all accounts a good guy and a positve influence around the dressing room.

                                Show alittle bit of respect.
My supporting evidence is that he was on the books at United but never made the grade there. No disgrace I hear you say. But he then played all his career in the bottom two divisions most notably at Rotherham till we signed him. How much evidence do you need?

Not fans because when we have a loss we don’t jump on the Martinez out bandwagon… what will be the reaction if we win on tuesday?

Tini part of being a football fan is getting behind the team which I do but is also about having an opinion. We are absolute shoite and it is true which ever way you dress it up but just cause I say so does not make me any less a fan.
