We are going to pay £4m for him :woohoo:
not worth half that he’s crap :(
Monkey chants have disrupted Englands training session in Krakow today. John Terry has been warned if he does it again he’ll be sent home.
I have a questions for the Lightside, if the article is correct and the club are giving Bob the biggest transfer kitty they have ever made available
1) Would people expect him to spend the so called warchest?
2) If he does spend it and then in years to come we have to cut back will Bob be accused of putting the clubs future in doubt?
3) I would imagine that any spending done at our club would have to be sanctioned by DW so although Bob is the manager DW has the final say?
4) Would question 3 not be the same for all our managers?
5) And if so how can Steve Bruce be blamed for over spending and not concentrating on youth development?
Of course he should spend it if he’s got it to spend.
He shouldn’t have to cut back because the club is now managed better from top to bottom and a lot of lessons have been learned over the past nine years.
Dave Whelan isn’t an accountant, so I’d say the CEO (who was/is an accountant) has a fair bit of influence to say about what can and can’t be spent.
Steve Bruce can’t be blamed totally, but bear in mind it was a totally different group of people reporting into Mr Whelan in those days and I’m sure they should shoulder some of the blame as it wasn’t always a ‘bat phone’ straight through to Whelan’s office.
Agreed Standish it’s just that Bruce gets alot of bad press from alot of people on this sight and given the same situation would Bob do things differently???
IMO neither he or Terry should have gone both to old and past it. This so called golden age have never come close to winning anything. We should have played the younger ones in the hope of perhaps building a team for the next World Cup.
Spot on about playing the youngsters. I’d have loved Hodgson to have come out and said that we have no chance of winning the Euros, so let’s use it to develop a squad for the future.
He had nothing to lose because I really can’t see anything other than a poor tournament from our boys.
He would have been crucified by the media.
With the squad he’s taken and how I expect the tournament to pan out he’s going to get crucified anyway.
Hinders in doom and gloom shocker  :lol:Go on then thirty don’t tell me you’ve backed em to win :P

IMO jr thats the problem he was awesome, to long in the tooth now.
How sad.
Still , as long as the price is right clubs , and it seems some of their fans , will whore themselves out to whichever foreign syndicate comes along flashing the cash. A century of history changed by some bleedin foreigner who’s been there two minutes.
Of course it won’t stop at changing the colours. The more foreign owners that come into the game will mean it’s only a matter of time before some poor unfortunates will see their club being moved , Wimbledon style , to God only knows which part of the country.
Do you think they will ever move Man Utd to London ? It wouldn’t cause that much outrage would it !! ;)
Be like a home game to most
Very sad news RIP Chris
A quality fans forum when everyone has to agree.
Great idea, absolute genius and I should imagine a proper good read
I notice that Mike Politt is on the list. Do we have a keeper in mind as back up to Al Habsi ?If the papers are to be believed Craig Gordon, he’s just been released by Sunderland and we are interested.
Sunderland and Wet Spam delusional big clubs, QPR now they have money will start getting ideas above there station. If we can carry on anything like the end of season form we will finish above all 3, and easy.
Good luck MoMo, me thinks you may need it you greedy barsteward
With Diame and his agent it’s pure greed nowt to do with footballing matters. It’s about the contract and signing on fee which will be huge because he’s a free agent
