I think it is between Wolves, us, West Brom and Blackpool for who will go down. I dont see us having more passion or fight than these three though

The same as me,I think West Ham and Birmingham will both survive despite their current low points totals.
Conceding the late equaliser at West Brom was a sickener because that was a team we need to finish above in my opinion.
I think we have a better squad on paper than Wolves,Blackpool and West Brom.Rodallega and NZogbia are both class acts that they don’t have the equivalent of.
If we don’t survive and it’s looking likely we’ll be relegated now i think Martinez will have done a poor job with the resources he has.
Also when you look at our squad and Boltons and the even matches between the teams this season i don;t think there is much difference in quality.I think a good chunk of the 10 points difference is in the dugout.

I had us down for a point and that is what we got

Would you have taken a point before the match started?

I personally wouldn’t have taken a draw and think West Brom will be the happier of the two it did.As well as a 3 point lead and a game in hand WBA play West Ham and Wolves their next two home games. They would have been right back in the relegation battle if we’d won tonight but now have a possible route to a very healthy gap over us.

I think we’ll have to finish above WBA to survive.

Good game but i reckon having played 3 more games than Brum and still being below them and with tough games in Feb we are almost doomed.

We’ll see footballs a funny old game :?

Tonight was a match we needed to win, it makes Blackburn on Saturday a huge game that we simply must win.
Liverpool, Man Utd and Man City the games after that.We could be 6 or 7 points from safety in the middle of March if we don’t beat Blackburn.

I think Villa beating City will make our task slightly easier on Tuesday.Villa will be happy with a draw now but they wouldn’t have been if they hadn’t beaten City.

To be fair to the lad his efforts and quality on the pitch can’t be questioned apart from being a bit greedy.

He is a very promising young player with an eye for goal.
It would be quite a coup to land him because there will be other Prem clubs interested.

Yet we are the same points away from 7th as we are from the two below us!

I wonder sometimes why these comments are posted as they can’t be thought about first.

Talking about burying your head in the sand

14 games into the season we are in the relegation zone having already used up easy home games against Blackpool,Wolves and West Brom.
We now go to West Ham for a massive match without our best (only decent) striker but everything is tickety boo because we are 5 points (and 15 goals) behind 7th place? Jeez.

                    Slight over-reaction perhaps?

We have just drawn at home to a mid table side and are stuck in the bottom 3.

I had been of the opinion that West Ham would stay up until this weekend.Going 2-0 up at Birmingham and only drawing is very worrying for them.
Blackpool.I keep expecting their bubble to burst.Everton are tough, street wise opposition.Getting a point against them was good for Blackpool but i still think they will go down.
Wolves.I think they have enough about them to stay up.Home games against Arsenal and Bolton this week.I think they will win one and prove to me they are good enough to survive.

It’s very difficult to predict.WBA are doing so well but are my favourites to go down with Blackpool and West Ham

It’s a reasonable run of results after a disgraceful start to the season, but drawing with the likes of Newcastle,Sunderland and Birmingham is far from great.

Fo oking hell when did we turn into Prem billy big bo llocks[/quote]

We got promoted in 2005 and are now an established lower mid table Premier League club.We have been in the PL longer than the 3 clubs I mentioned
Newcastle,Sunderland and Birmingham are in 14th, 15th and 17th place so are teams of a similar standard to us.
I don’t see how drawing with them can be considered great and I suspect you agree with me on that.
In this reasonable run of results there was one great win and that was at Tottenham. We caught them at a good time a few days after a Champions League match but life’s all about timing as someone cleverer than me once said.

I have a Bolton fan workmate who was sick when Al habsi signed for us.He thinks he is a better keeper than Jaaskelainen but for whatever reason isn’t given a fair crack of the whip there.Jaaskelainen was injured at the end of Megsons first season and Al Habsi was the main reason they stayed up according to my mate.

Why don’t you make a scene out of it and throw it at Martinez at the next home game?

If you do that can you cellotape it to a brick :)
