I would snatch their hand off if they offered £9M
I’m glad you’re not in charge of the club then
Good research, but perhaps next time you are studying history you could check up the answer to the question I asked you, which you seem to be struggling with. The 2006 League Cup Final
I burst out laughing when he decided to “save” the cross in the build up to the first goal.
Bring this lad on for comedy value at the end of each season when we are safe :DI think you are right that he isn’t cut out for the Latics job,but expect him to be here at the start of next season.
I can’t see a guy who kept us up on a shoestring budget being sacked….yet.No i wouldn’t take a draw.Burnley are already down in my eyes and that wouldn’t change if they managed a freak win at our ground.Pompey and Burnley gone there is one relegation spot to avoid.
If we don’t beat Burnley i’ll be concerned that we seriously are in a relegation scrap.
Right now i think that with easy home games v Burnley,Hull and Pompey we are staying up certainties.i would suggest 4 points from the next 2 games is a must.Nah, as long as we beat Burnley it won’t matter about losing to Villa.
Totally agree; apart from the fact that we’ll get 4 points out of the next 6.Out of interest what was your prediction for todays match?
48 seconds more like
Burnley got relegated all but mathematically today.
Two down, only one other team to finish above
You mean a 5th straight season?
We’d have to stay up next season as well to stay up 6 seasons in a row.Good point about Dave Whelan being 20 years too late, Jack Walker spent similar amounts at Blackburn and won the Premier League.
However this Martinez is underachieving with the money that has been spent and the talent in the squad.I don’t think we will go down whether Martinez stays or goes but we should be doing better.A team with the talent to beat Chelsea and Villa shouldn’t be struggling like this.Right. Lets name and shame the JCL’s on here who are bringing the club down with their know-nothing ignorant attitude. They refuse to get behind the club and Martinez and the only reason is they are ex Man U fans who actually get upset when you criticise Bruce.I’ll start with a few who should quite frankly, f**k off and leave us to support our beloved Wigan Athletic in peace….
Mighty Aff, Ticslad, parboldlatic…
Just for starters….weed these idiots out ASAP
Nothing worse than a sanctimonius type telling us sh.ite isn’t shi.te
Grass seed, soil, water, white paint.Did i miss something ?Edit – oh and maybe a lawnmower now and again ?
A wheelbarrow of horseshit
Does it not tell you everything two of the lowest crowds this season, relative to the size of the opposition, were Utd and Everton? These games had two things in common, police restrictions on ticket sales and promotions, and relatively expensive tickets.
For games against the likes of Fulham, Sunderland and Blackburn we are now attracting significany more home fans than for these so called glamour games.
For example, if we had the 16k home fans that came to the FULHAM game, there would have been 20k-21k on against Everton!
When are the club going to realise they can’t take their foot off the accelerator and coast for a couple of games, maximum effort needs to be put into promoting EVERY match.
And if Mr Whelan didn’t allow casual fans in for less than season ticket holders against Fulham we would have had about 12,000 on.
I can’t blame Dave Whelan wanting to maximise takings against Everton and Man Utd.It’s a sad situation if Wigan can only get 15,000 home fans in if he almost gives tickets away.
When you say maximum effort you mean letting people in for less than season ticket holders and that can’t be right for those who have paid up front. The carping on here gets me down.We have a team that beat Villa and Chelsea and unlike Kathy Beale is miles too good to go down and could still have an unlikely trip to Wembley in the FA Cup.
Be happy. -
