What has his personal text messages got to do with anyone else ? Leave the guy alone. Next, we’ll we castigated for even thinking any non PC thoughts !!! There are far to my ” ass licking do gooders” ruining this country !!! Speak up and let’s put the great back into Britain !!!
And we now see the real reason all these immigrants favour these shores. It is not for the Oh so generous benefits system (indeed they can get just as much on Continental Europe). It is because of the very high racial tolerance levels imposed upon us by these left wing, pinko, teeth sucking, hand wringing plebeians who have taken God and Christianity out of our Great Country and mock us with their multi-cultural idealism. The swathes of ethnic ‘no-go’ areas across this country increases daily – yet to speak out brings cries of ‘Racist’ and ‘Bigot’. The Germans and the French certainly do not tolerate this in their countries and one has even gone as far as banning the burqa.
Free Speech and National Identity is now officially dead, and Malky is yet another casualty of this unspeakable, overpowering minority thought police. I fear for our children and grandchildren – I honestly do.
OK – last two tips from me. Right click desktop and make sure your screen resolution is 1024×768. If this does not fix it then reset Google Chrome Theme to “default” to see if this clears it up.
(F1 button sometimes debugs problems like this as well (oh! that’s 3 tips, ah well) – good luck)
Set at 150%? – does your screen now have the ‘scroll’ bars on the right hand side and bottom of your screen? If so, your browser is working fine you just need to scroll the page up/down to see the tabs. If not, then I would uninstall and get a clean browser put on.
Have you tried switching it off and then switching it back on again?
Export your bookmarks to a folder on the desktop so that you don’t lose them. Uninstall Chrome. Reboot your computer. Get a clean copy of Chrome from ‘FileHippo’. Import your bookmarks from the folder on your desktop.
It could be just a corrupt copy – doing this little exercise could probably solve your problem, and you will have the most up-to-date copy of the browser.
Give it a try – nothing to lose really
much chin wagging tonight about what we are after hearing chants in the ground at games. are we fa cup champions or fa cup winners. seems diferent people have diferent thoughts.
FIFA seem to know what the Germans are, so I suppose we were FA Cup Champions after all.
Well said Horc, however, I fear it will mean nothing to those struggling with a linear/non linear thought process. The sponsor, the club and now, it would appear, FIFA themselves have all given examples of how we can call ourselves FA Cup Champions but the vocal (massive) minority will still believe they are right. It is difficult to negotiate concessions with those who have closed minds.
Well at least I’ve livened the board up a bit!A couple of points, I’d like to make just to back up my original stance.
Caldwell to Panathanaikos wasn’t the side splitting part of it, they are a broken big team in a pretty poor league, he’d fit in nicely. The point was the big money part, seriously? Anyway I haven’t seen that he’s gone anywhere, newspaper rubbish prob.
Caldwell v Bramble, I seem to remember a very decent defender and ex-manager of ours coming back for Titus and signing him for about a million and taking him to Sunderland. I’d say Steve Bruce is a better judge of a defender than anyone on this board. To say I am inaccurate about an opinion is inaccurate in my opinion.
Ref the pen, I did more than groan, as did everyone around me bar none.
A trier yes, a big money footballer? No.
I totally agree with you, however, I venture that some here would still argue that your opinion is worth doodly-squat and that theirs ‘trumps’ all others.
As for Caldwell, never the big player some here try to make him out and, for me, his mistakes far outweighed his better performances. Some say he had the turning circle of a super-tanker – perhaps unfair but I get the simile.
If you go to any football or Rugby Union ground on match day in the southern half of England and ask if they have heard of Billy Boston, the answer in 99% of cases will be no. Ask the same people if they have heard of Dave Whelan and the answer will be more like 60%-75% yes.I’ve nothing against Billy Boston, he may have been a great rugby player in his time, but unfortunately Rugby League had similar popularity to crown green bowling when BB was around and probably still has, so great in Rugby league = OK in crown green bowling.
There are far bigger stars to come from Wigan than BB, Mr Whelan certainly being one of them.
And a great reminder of what he has done for the town, the club and of course in recognition of our great FA Cup win. Get the ball rolling sir.
When the time comes, and hopefully that will not be soon, I am sure there will be a statue outside the stadium.
Tazdevil is right. Would be nice for the town to recognise whelan sooner rather than later though.
Quite right, and a perfect precedence has been set by Mr Jimmy Armfield CBE (Ex-England Captain) who unveiled his own statue outside the football ground he played for. If the club and supporters are to bestow this honour on Mr Whelan, whilst he is still ‘with us’ then the supporters’ club can get the ball rolling – just toss a few ideas around and it will soon gather momentum.
Something nobody has picked up on:If you want to play a top team at home in a friendly, you pay for their travel, accommodation, and in some cases an appearance fee.
Put that against the cost of policing, stewards etc, and the miniscule revenue brought in from a few thousand at £10 a head……it ends up costing the club money to host the game.
Even before you consider the issue of protecting the playing surface, financially it’s not worth it.
Now that, sir, is a balanced argument. It really is a pity that some others here cannot put is as eloquently.
You live in Cloud Cuckoo Land pal. And learn how to read. I talked about major decisions. When it comes to what colour seats we should have in the stadium or what names we should give to the mascots then, quite rightly, the clubs lets the fans have a say. When it comes to the club’s finances and doing what is best for the team again, quite rightly, they won’t give your opinions a moment’s thought. What makes you think you are remotely qualified to advise them?
Stick to drinking Skol.
I hold a highly responsible position at work, these days. I wouldn’t employ you to sweep the car park.
And leave LMB’s avatar alone. It provides a welcome distraction when reading the drivel he writes.
I suppose that would be my first in Business Management with Psychology,
Ooh, get you. I find that that those that brag about their academic qualifications know deep down that they’re not worth the paper they’re written on.
The rest of your post was just crap. Don’t try to be funny. You really can’t do it.
To paraphrase my grandson after he realises someone has emptied their chuff and has nothing else to offer the discussion:
Whatever, chunky.
And leave LMB’s avatar alone. It provides a welcome distraction when reading the drivel he writes.
I used it because whenever I see a tit I think of you.
Stick to taking bets cos you’ll never make it as a comedian.

Oh! may I offer my congratulations on your appointment to head of cupboards and car park sweepers. It is what you do, right? You did say you are responsible for the employment of the car park sweepers? but I digress.
About that Skol reference, it was in deference to you dear boy – transparent, weak, cheap and full of p1ss, as a non-drinker I found your assumption amusing.
You have added, as usual, nothing to the discussion about home friendlies other than to cheapen peoples opinions, insult them and display your usual arrogance about knowing it all. I bet your pals are sick to the back teeth of your superiority complex.
It’s BBQ weather, chill out and have a Skol, a salad and some quorn sausages or something. It’s hot here in Cloud Cuckoo land, pal.
Come on then,if you pick your dream friendly at the DW who would it be against?.Ever since I was a kid there has only ever been one team I have fantasised about playing the Latics in Wigan. They wear one of the most iconic kits in foofball,White shirts, shorts, socks and a broad Red stipe on the front. AFC Ajax Amsterdam would be my dream friendly, thing is I have seen them play in England at various pre season games and they have always wore the bloody away kit  so I’ve never seen them play in the famous Red and White.
Yep, totally agree. Some on here (with jobs) seem to think that every supporter is flush with cash and can afford to travel to away friendlies (if the desire took them that is). Personally I think that a marquee fixture before the season starts gets the juices running and the expectation for the rest of the season begins in earnest. We can see our players perform before the season starts without having to evaluate them during the first couple of home games. Not only that, what if we were unlucky and had our first couple of games drawn away from home – now that would be bloody frustrating
And besides all that, if the club and its manager are happy to have the pre-season preparations away from the stadium – for whatever reason – it matters not a jot what you lot think, really.
Really? Then I suppose there is no longer a need for fans forums meetings or links to the supporters club. The voice of the fans who have supported this club through thick and thin must mean nothing then.
Ah well! I suppose all this not giving a jot might catch on to some of the junior supporters (the clubs future) and maybe, just maybe they may be tempted to the cherry and white side of the town.
You don’t really think they care what fans think when it comes to major decisions about running the team and the club, do you?
The fact that some fans moan about no home friendlies year after year yet, year after year, the club persists with away friendlies, sort of proves my point.
Not that I needed it proving, I knew I was right.
Yes I do, and Mr Jackson and his team go a long way to say this publicly. What sort of organisation do you think Mr Whelan is running here? How many times have we heard that it is a ‘family friendly’ club, a club for the fans’? I think that statement about them not caring is very arrogant indeed. Running the business, in this time of austerity, I can believe is very tight, however, running the club and team is, in my opinion, a partnership.
Let’s say there was a pub in Wigan that sold only Skol (because the landlord got it cheap, in bulk and, after all, it’s booze really) and then opened his doors for business – couldn’t see you or your mates in there, in fact couldn’t see anybody in there.
So I put to you again, that you are wrong. I really do hope that you don’t have a responsible position in your place of work.
Edit: Admins is this the sort of Avatar we are now allowing on this ‘family friendly’ board. I refer to Loudmouths.
OK. Lets play all our games away then! What the frig is wrong with wanting to watch your team at home ffs?
There is no reason we shouldn’t be playing at home.Whether you like it or not, we share our ground with the rugby who, you might have noticed (but maybe not), play in the summer. Minimising the number of games played on in total makes total sense – not entirely surprised you don’t get that, though.
As mutty said we don’t have to play the ‘extra’ European games this season, and by the way did you not notice that we played in the Championship last season (more games than the EPL) with no deterioration to the playing surface. Probably not.
