This thread seems to be turning into a very child-like argument now…

‘I got mine when you were queing’.. ‘Well I have mine in my hand do you’ (Although I don’t see what it matter if it’s in your hand or not if he has the ticket secured) ..

Lets calm down kids :P B)

Although he hasn’t done anything… I still don’t believe he has been given a ‘fair crack of the whip’ so to speak.. If it actually is a case of having to ‘adapt’ to the premier league, he DEFINITELY hasn’t been given enough gametime.

That being said it doesn’t look like they’re going to give him the chance, or not enough of one anyway, so would like to see a new Striker brought in even if it is at the expense of losing Bosselli. :pinch:

My sentiments exactly jamesc, Estudiantes obviously know how to play him cos he has a goal ration of 1 in 2 for them (or there abouts).

Talk Sport were on about Becchio coming to us this morning. Their comments were, he won’t get you many goals but will give it all in effort, is that what we need?
That sounds very familiar! Isn’t that EXACTLY what Di Santo does, and many strikers we have had before. (Scotland, Heskey to name two)..

In reponse to your question.. No, it isn’t what we need, it is something we already have, what we need to look for is a poacher that is realistically within our reach.. a bit like Earnshaw would have been in his day B)

Why? I knew what I meant
So if you post on a thread, you don’t care if anybody understands it as long as you do..?

Sure that defeats the point of putting it (anything) on a ‘Forum’..

That begs me to ask the question.. Do you often speak to yourself too Griffamundo? ;)

You’ll need to be sharpish. Queue at 9 o’clock this morning was already half way round the North Stand and most people are buying multiple tickets.

How can that be? It is one per season ticket holder isn’t it?

Grow up. Past evidence clearly shows that a win was actually less likely than a loss.

And since when did we become a “Bertie big bollox” prem team and assume we have the god given right to beat lower league opposition? If that was the case we might as well hand the cup to Manure now.

Lest we forget where we came from…oh that’s right, you weren’t born then were you?

I didn’t say we were a ‘Bertie big bollox’ prem team.. I didn’t say we had a god given right.. I just said it’s something else when your own fans go into games thinking you will lose, especially when it is lower league opposition.

With regards to your last comment, not sure how much sense it makes. I wasn’t born when? .. Anyway I apologise for being younger than you Sir. GalacTIC, so sorry.

In seriousness though GalacTIC, stupid rant, stupid post, making sh1t up (‘Bertie big bollox prem team’ and ‘God given right to win games’ sh1t, which nobody even said or mentioned) purely to have a moan.

How bad must you feel about your own team to genuinely believe we will lose to a team divisions below us!

                        Swindon,Bradford ring any bells,knob head :P

Yes they do ring bells, doesn’t mean I go into games believing we will lose, as I didn’t with the Bradford/Swindon games ;)

Any need for the ‘Knob Head’ comment?

Cheers James..let’s give this one go.

                          Saturday..

                          Wig an Athletic 3.
                          Sunder land 1.

Now for another glass of wine. ;)

                          Keep the faith.

My bet EVERY game is 3-1 Wigan.. So lets hope that one comes off!!

Can’t beat a nice glass/bottle of Wine every night B)

What sort of excuse is that?

I wasn’t born when Latics beat Carlisel 6-1 away in 1934, but that doesn’t stop me telling everyone I was there and how they are all JCLs ;)
Haha true that Garswood! To be fair I should have made more of an effort for my team! I let the team down, and in all honesty that’s probably why we lost…

                            Sorry Guys! :(

Anyone remember going to Macclesfield the last time we played them in the F.A. Cup? I went with my Mum and Dad as a seven year old and we all came home disappointed ! We played them at home in the Fourth Qualifyer , drawing 1-1 ( Ken Dumican 66 mins ) in front of 4,595 , then travelled to the Moss Rose on Wednesday 1st November 1967 for the Replay , losing 3-0 . Scorers for the Silkmen where Fidler (36) Taberner (ex Latic 79) and Rogers (84) , with a crowd of 4,440 . Match receipts where £540.00 ! I remember Latics had to play in our away kit of Red , as Macc played in Blue …… Come on Latics , it’s payback time 46 years on ! !
                              Latics Team : 1 Halsall 2 Houghton 3 A. Jones 4 Blundell 5 Craig 6 P. Jones 7 Dumican 8 Llewellyn 9 Lyon 10 Roberts 11 Grundy Sub Lace

In the First Round , Macc went on to beat Stockport County at home 4-1 in front of nearly 9,000 , in the Second Round they beat Spennymoor United at home 2-0 and went to Fulham in the Third Round , losing 4-2 .

Have to admitt Filmoss.. Great thread.. but when I’m sat here during a long day at work reading where everyone is going, it slightly depresses me and makes me want/need a Holiday right now! :woohoo:

                                  Are you for real?

                                  thicket

Some of it clearly wasn’t ‘for real’..

But the bit about ‘If Bournemouth fans were reading it’ is genuine..

If roles were reversed I wouldn’t expect to read on the Premier league clubs forum that they expected us to beat them and disrespecting their own team…

Some people need to get a grip B)
