Only a couple of days left, as a reminder though, you do not have to register with 188BET to win the freeview system with 250GB harddrive and free ESPN for three months. Although it would be a good idea if you did register if you won the £100 of free bets :D

There hasn’t been one scheduled yet, but when it is organised I will let you know…

Sorry for those that are experiencing a bit of difficulties, we’ll fix them as soon as we can.
If you aren’t having problems, ignore this.

I hear Take That are playing there on their UK tour next year, lawro predicts a 3-1 win :lol:Dull as houses 0-0 draw is what I will go for, with at least 4 or 5 occasions when the who of the west stand stand up to look around at a scouser nicking somehing at the back of the stand !
It was far from dull

Do you want to know something funny, as I have met both of you, I know you have been in the same room together already. :D

I think you will find that most on here only take umbridge at you because your attacks on Wigan Athletic’s manager are so persistant and scathing (and I must admit very repetitive).
People watch Wigan for different reasons, not all watch it for results or performance, to be fair if you want to see a team winning 20-30 games a season in the top flight Latics wouldn’t be your first choice.
Some watch because they like the experience of the live football game and thier chosen team is WAFC.
Some go because their mates do and they do it becasue of the company and it is just part of their lives now.
Some will always go to have something to moan about (we call them West Standers ;) )
But whatever your reason is, and I go back to a point that has been made on another thread, there is no need for a full on lambasting of any WAFC staff. Points can be put across quite well without it, whether you are a JCL or an old timer.
LMB, you don’t do yourself any favours because when we do perform well, or get a decent result, you don’t acknowledge it. All that a couple of the lets say ‘negative’ posters do is dwell on the bad points, the losses or the ‘bad’ decisions (always the gaffer, never the players).
If you actually gave credit to the team (and that means the manager as well) every now and then your other comments would be taken as debate worthy.
You are in a position now, because of the relentless attacks on Roberto, I think you can’t even bring yourself to praise him any more.
Anyway, you have a PM.

There isn’t a public one planned yet, but I will ask the question for you.

Hardly naive, it is bang on the money. The moaning, whinging, debating and disgruntlement (might have made that word up) is par for the course when things are not right in someones eyes.
The poster doesn’t deny this, their point is absolutely correct; the way some go about it, is disrespectful to what this Club stands for.
It will be interesting to see if there is a rational response from the ones concerned, well done northern.

You are absolutely on the money there.
Great support today, even saw some of the old guard coming out of away match retirement/boycott.
Charge a fair price, crowds will increase (away crowds anyway).

I think the incident with Roberts’ goal today shows that technology can be used without delaying the game much – we saw 5 replays of that ‘off side’ before we kicked off again, had it been reviewed it could have been given as a free kick to us in the same time it would have taken for us to restart.
At SOL the Cattermole thing could have been reviewed well before that corner was taken as it was obvious. Mole sent off and penalty given in much the same time.
If it isn’t obvious, the decision stands and the game goes on… simples…. good seeing you again today BTW, although I thought I had broke my daughter’s hand at one point.

Going back to your original melodrama; is it because people didn’t agree that the worst you have seen was Craven Cottage (after watching Latics since the sixties). Is this the
rare and heartfelt post triggered some odd comments and made me feel quite uncomfortable
http://www.cockneylatic.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=5437&p=48871#p48871
I had better not mention the time I was at Chesterfield feeling chuffed as a butty becasue we were 3-1 up with ten mins to go, only to have the journey home under a cloud after losing 4-3 (1986ish), I felt worse that day than Craven Cottage….. and by no means was that the worst ever.
Anyway I stray, my point is that there wasn’t anything in that thread that really should have bothered you, unless you take offense at being asked to have a reality check.
