There are several that I could and would send in to interviews, not just with Roberto but with the players as well – there are some that I would not.
This guy can’t even be bothered to read my words properly, so there were be no chance that I would let him disrespect this site in front of anybody, like he tries to disrespect me and what i do.

Remind me of the questions you wanted me to ask, as they escape me at the moment.

The pie and the scarf bits were done after the meeting was wrapped up, as we were leaving, it was a way of breaking the tension after a hard hour and a half.

I can’t expect you to understand, as even if you could you wouldn’t. We only had a set amount of time and not all the issues were covered. But if you really want the answer to the burning question as to why he keeps playing 4-5-1, I will listen to the recording again and try to decipher his view on tactics….. it is the third or fourth time I have spoke with him and his tactical nous is amazing.

Before anybody thinks the question was asked by us, forget it, he brought it up himself….. he still reads the site….

Bobby had the preseason playing with Kapo, de Ridder, Koumas and Cattermole in midfield, and to put the point bluntly, played very well in there for preseason. Just as the season starts he loses Cattermole to Sunderland, Koumas and de Ridder showed their true true colours and Kapo went naff and then got injured. So basically what he said re: Gomez is true, he had no alternative but to throw him on, instead of letting him ease his way in.

Scotland was banging them in last season and could have done with being eased in rather than being the ‘main man’ up front. Cho, Bouaouzan and King all featured in preseason and all failed when it came to playing in the prem….

Opinion I know, but I think it is a good strong, young attacking group.

I think you’ll find he said he needed 2 or 3 transfer windows at the fans forum in November.

Arguable, whatever… it’s a matter of our opinion, but he sees him every day in training and in the gym, so I won’t argue.

After talking to him face to face, you can see he believes in what he is doing, believes he is so close to seeing this team click into place and just as importantly is not hiding.

I was with him for over an hour, just got started on writing it up, I’ll put it on the news page when I’m done…..

Thanks for all your questions, I could not get anywhere near answering them all so he is going to do another next month, I’ll ask for new questions nearer the time.

I did get an answer to the scarf question though, so you can rest assured that one has been put to bed :D
