          It isn’t complicated:
          The Wigan Athletic Supporters Club ‘Away Player of the Season’ was Ali Al Habsi.

          Why stick the term away fans in there to try to complicate it?

          As the official away travel organiser for Wigan Athletic, the award goes to the player all the supporters that travelled with them voted for. It is a true measure of a ‘player of a season’, everbody can forget how bad a player was in the first half of the season and be swayed by performances in the final third.
          To win this award, you have to be voted for regularly over the couurse of the season.
          Well done Ali who won it by 19 votes from Gary Caldwell (out of well over 5,000 votes cast)

                  Looks like over 90% of us were wrong?

                        The Egg is absolutely right, it has been hilarious looking at all the gloating and laughing on both sites.

                        In reality, if Latics had a game at 3.00 p.m. next Saturday and the BBC wanted to show the rugby at 4.00 p.m., the BBC could be told to move it to 11.30 a.m. or 7.00 p.m. the same day if needed. As long as Latics’ game starts at 3.00 p.m. they fufil their agreement.
