That was a great 3 points against a tough side. Let’s hope we can go on a winning streak now and put some pressure on the chasing pack.
More and more teams are ganging up on Yanic so wonder if it might be an idea to rest him and start him as sub on Friday. Come on around the hour mark to work his magic. Two games over the weekend so might be worth resting him?
Aye. Suppose it makes sense when he was MOM, only creative player and opposition looked frightened to death throughout game when he got the ball. I mean he’s only either scored or set up nearly every goal we have scored recently. Get the lad benched!
Hahaha, as a tactical variation i meant, not because he’s poor Roy! I mean, it worked at Walsall didn’t it!
Sold out I see, should be a great atmosphere again. Hope we come away happy :)

Did Nob End not get something like 89 points last season and had to contest the play offs!?There’s only 10 games left so max points us & Walsall could get is 95 if all remaining games are won. Likely hood is a couple will be lost & drawn so mid eighties may well take you up this season.
Was looking at league one previous points tally not so long back and this year could be one of the lesser totals to take a team up for a few years. As you say high eighties & nineties has been required in previous seasons.
It will sell out but they’ll go on general sale. Plenty will be going for varying reasons.
What varying reasons? Shopping? Sight seeing? Visiting relatives perhaps?
Or maybe to video the second chapter of Wigan Vs Shrewsbury for youtube?
On current form for the whole league, it wouldn’t surprise me if second spot did get promoted with 80+ points?
These games against bottom of the table teams seem to be our achilles heal, so bring on the bigger games. We mustn’t underestimate teams at the bottom of the league. The are fighting for every point they can get, and there is no such thing as an easy game.
That is true Garswood, but we should not be conceding 3 against the team who are rock bottom…
Question I have is why now is GC playing with defensive formation? Didn’t go today but we sounded terrible defensively.
Some tough fixtures again next week for the teams around us, let’s hope we get back on track with a win.
We started 4 – 3- 3, how is that defensive? Two of their goals were pile drivers and the third a pen. The point stops Walsall going above us midweek even with a win. Calm down boys this point may prove crucial. :)
I didn’t quite word that one correctly. What I should have said was why now is he changing defensive formation. It’s a back four now where he normally puts out a 5 across the back with 3 centrals.
Well, don’t think he brought much to the team today!
First game I know, but at 34 and with his experience he should be showing more composure than he did..
Let’s hope he performs better next week.We mustn’t underestimate teams at the bottom of the league. The are fighting for every point they can get, and there is no such thing as an easy game. That is true Garswood, but we should not be conceding 3 against the team who are rock bottom…

If we don’t beat Colchester it will be a bad result as they are shite! They have only won 3 at home and have shipped 30 goals! There is every chance Walsall will drop points at Fleetwood, they’re on a bit of a wobble of late.
Barnsley & Millwall are the ones to watch, both doing well. Hoping Barnsley get distracted with Wembley and start dropping points.
Burton result is a cracker, let’s hope it stays that way. Not fussed about Coventry as I think they’ve gone.
Let’s just hope we don’t slip up at Colchester!Well Jimmy it did get a few responses and yes it was. Just feeling that way out last neet. Pissed off again with the two dropped points at home.We do seem to be drawing a few games of late, but that’s more to do with players rather than GC’s tac tics. Just need to get more players scoring other than Grigg.
This is a wind up surely…
Anybody know how many we’ve sold for this game?
No news on the club website so assume we haven’t sold the initial allocation?
Assume most will be watching on the telly!
A loan striker role wouldn’t suit Hiwula anyway. Two up front suited him more.
Grigg does a good job up front considering. We’d better hope he doesn’t get injured as he’s our leading scorer by a long way.
Not sure who else could cope in that role and score as many. -
