Gelhart out his depth I’m afraid felt so sorry for him. Nearly cost us a point trying to dribble the ball out just outside our box and Marshall made a good save.
Goes to show how fans can want things that arn’t there.Exactly, out of our box, brought on to tighten things up at the back I guess, ffs.
Are you not going to mention the passes William’s misplaced throughout the game, is he out his depth ?, and Massey and Jacob’s ? their lacklustre performances ?.
It’s amazing that within a p1ss poor performance by the majority of our squad, at home against a team we need to beat to stay up you highlight the performance of a young lads and he’s entrance into an awful game to watch and his 30 (not 20) minutes performance.I would have like to have seen Gelhardt playing off the shoulder of Moore nodding things down. I get the point, Moore is tall but does every ball have to be aerial ?. There were times when we could have crossed it along the floor or cutback but were now focused on Sunday football “Hit the big lad up there!!”
But if your gonna put blame on Gehardt’s 30 minutes then I’m sorry but you must have been watching the doc leaves grow over the duggy.
Theres only one person out his depth and I think its about time we got shut as the rots already set. With a trip to Fulham and Charlton soon to come I just hope the break is beneficial to us.
Wanna bet ? Chris Houghton to Stoke, they’ll not mess around in the hope things get better
Hold on a minute who the fuck is blaming Gelhart for anything? He came on and didn’t particularly play well and did look out his depth for the time he played. Williams by the way was MoM for me and many others. Yes gave the ball away a few times but always wanted it and drove us forward and more importantly gave 110% for us.
Don’t get carried away by Gelharts potential it isn’t going to be enough to change our season. The form of all those you have criticized will thoough. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I’m sorry whether you like it or not, Gelhart looked miles out and of his depth. Is he going to make it at this level? I surely hope he does, there’s plenty time for him to develop.
The same posters who have criticized my comments are probably the same ones who’d have said, why didn’t Cook bring young Joffy on for the last 25-30 minutes, if he hadn’t come on. Sorry his confidence must be shot after that cameo, couldn’t get round one man and as I said nearly cost us the game. Hope he does get more chances and the boy Weir too who in my opinion is the better prospect. From Matlock to ManU

What a journey! We should have been 3-4 up after 20 mins they were all over the place. Our goal was a tap in from 2 yards out unmarked from a corner.

What a journey!I think the squad is quite good, whilst watching the QPR game was struggling to find one of their players that I’d swap with one of ours.
With a decent coach I think this squad could make the play offs. Don’t particularly like the guy, but his teams always look well coached and balanced. Ladies and gentlemen I give you…. The Brolly Man!From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Yesterday was a bad result no doubt about it, but before shouting Cook Out, just remember it’s not how you start a season, it’s how you finish (2018-19!)We lost at QPR on the equivalent Saturday last season but did ok in the end!
This season opened with an excellent win over Cardiff. Then we’ve had Preston who will be knocking on the door of the top 6 come the end and Leeds/Middlesbrough who will be knocking on the door of the top 2 come the end.
See where we are at the end of October before we start thinking about changing manager!
We don’t want to emulate last season, we have a squad good enough to push for the play offs. Its time for him to go, he has no answer to our ridiculous away problems so let somebody have a go who has.
Thanks for the league one memories but that’s where it ends. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Just watched Cook’s post match interview. Looked and sounded like a manager who is about to be potted.

What a journey! He did in Mulgrew but won’t play him.

What a journey!Where’s all that preseason optimism gone? Its gone after 5 straight defeats scoring one goal. Yes he’s had some hard lines with his injuries again, but he’s not making the best of what he’s got.

What a journey!Never thought I’d say it but agree. Some very strange selections and tactics. First of all he leaves Williams out the squad, wonder if it was to teach him a lesson? If it was it is Mr Cook who has been taught a lesson.
Secondly, plays Marshall and Kipre who have been dire and lacking in confidence. It should have been Jones and Mulgrew to try and stop the leaks. Then he takes Jacobs off and brings Naismith on when Massey is on bench. He is devoid of ideas and has to rely on his backroom staff who have never played or managed higher than Accrington Stanley.
Chris Hooton anybody? From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Couldn’t ask for better start……failure to capitalise on it and within 15 mins restart behind again. Come on ,still time but next goal huge. Then up steps the defensive part of Cedrics game.

What a journey!Congratulations by the way Mutty on your victory last night at Rochdale. Two similar clubs going head to head for the 3 points. Must have been a great feeling to have shaded it.
When we won at Rochdale a couple of seasons ago I was ecstatic, so fair play to Mutty if he is, as any win is a great win who ever you are and whoever you are playing.
I think you’ll find its all tongue in cheek stuff on this thread Horc. You can only beat the team in front of you at the end of the day.
Fancy us to finish above Brentford this season Mutty, are we on again? From Matlock to ManU
What a journey! That’s what betting is all about. If you check the results we have only got 3 points from 4 games so the odds will rise.
Its a bit like Wigan Warriors, what price are they for winning the league leaders trophy and what was they at the start of the season? Similarly if you’d backed um for winning the challenge cup, your betting slip would be in the bin.

Well that’s another of Mutty’s betting slips already in the bin then.
