Agree fully with that, but we also need to understand that a) It may take a good few weeks for the players to settle in and b) Cardiff have still got their premier league squad plus a few more expensive signings.
It will be a tough game today so let’s not get too down hearted if we don’t get the result we are all desperate to see.
Good luck to PC and team! From Matlock to ManU

What a journey! What about a song for him based on the old ditty by the Crystals da doo ron ron ron.
Surely someone can fit Dujon into that some way. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Shame they weren’t all here 5 weeks ago to be training, gelling etc with the rest of the squad.
However the game these days is just so much a formula, boring and bland that new players arriving just slot in and out of a system.
It’s only like last season when square pegs where being shoved into round holes that this formula football falls apart.Have you been sworn in as the official leader of the Darkside Donny?

What a journey!… Will be seen on the official website holding a tics shirt shortly having penned a permanent deal.
Erm didn’t you say that about Lowe Jr? Nothing yet on sky sports
I did say my missus text me to say we’d agreed a £3m deal but when I text her back saying it wasn’t on the official site, she said she might have heard it wrong.

What a journey!Piggin Hell, I just looked at Dujon Sterling’s profile on wikipedia using my phone. It had him scoring 38 goals for Coventry last season from right back, then I realised the columns wernt lined up. played 38 no goals.

What a journey! For every bargain abroad we’ve had I’ll give you a flop we’ve had from abroad.
Do you think any decent foreign players want to come to Wigan a bottom of the Championship come league one team the past 5 or 6 years. They will break a leg to sign for a Prem side or at least a championship club of the stature of say West Brom. The two lads from Benfica chose Forrest over us, they obviously looked at where they finished last season and what wages they can afford.
So what type of player do you think we can attract in this country if its not a Robinson type or should I say a Reece James type. I’m only trying to explain what the window is like these days and what its been like for years. We will probably lose Massey on the last day to a Championship team who can offer him more wages and pay a transfer fee that we can’t refuse as per Will Grigg.
Things like this will happen and we could end up with a Leon Clarke type player, unfortunately that’s where we are as a club. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I’ll shout this so you can hear me. THE TRANSFER WINDOW STILL HAS 10 OR SO DAYS TO GO. NOTHING STARTS HAPPENING PROPER IN THE LOWER LEAGUES UNTIL THE PREMIER LEAGUE CLUBS HAVE SORTED THEMSELVES OUT. ONCE THEY ARE MORE OR LESS SORTED WITH WHO THEY WANT TO KEEP, GET RID OF OR GO OUT ON LOAN, THEN THE REST OF THE LEAGUE CAN PICK OFF THE SCRAPS. IT HAPPENS EVERY TRANSFER WINDOW SO SHOULD THINK YOU WOULD ALL BE USED TO IT BY NOW.
As for the Lowe situation, why is it a farce?, Wigan offered an amount of money, Pompy want more. Isn’t it great that our club will not be held to ransome for a player that might not be good enough for the championship. This has been the case for Hugill and Gallagher. Just forget about Lowe we have better players in that position already.
I’m glad that some of you are not running our club or we would be in the same position as Noblot. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Me to,the main thing for me was unrest in the camp that his signing might have brought. The likes of Morsy, Jacobs and Massey are on nowhere near the salary Hugill was demanding. There are plenty of young hungry strikers out there who would come on loan or sign permanently if not getting first team action for Prem clubs. Robinson is prime example of that kind of player and maybe Williamson also if we get him. The lad Hornby who came on for Everton in the second half is only 19 and looks strong and handy. If he’s not guaranteed match time its another both clubs could benefit from a season of playing week in week out.
Agree.
I would love us to bring a striker in with a ‘thinking outside the box’ signing. Or a clever loan signing. What about Shane Long at Southampton? Surely down the pecking order, as is Charlie Austin. I’ve always liked Long, just one of those awkward to play against, sniff a chance out of nothing types. Different to what we have. Loan deal would be good.
I would imagine Long’s wages would be a stumbling block just like Hugill’s. Unless Southampton are prepared to pay half his wages, I doubt very much this would happen.

What a journey! How about Nahki Wells from Burnley? He’s been there a while now and getting nowhere and wasn’t even involved yesterday! He has scored goals at this level before and might not have the wage demands of Hugill since he’d be coming from Burnley…Was reading somewhere that Wells has been on international duty in the ANC and has been given time off by Dyche to rest. That’s why he hasn’t been involved in preseason nothing sinister there.
