What a journey!4.7

What a journey!Taken from official football league rules handbook
Unless otherwise agreed by the Board or between the Clubs, each Home Club shall make available to its Visiting Club:
3,000 tickets or, if the capacity of the Home Club’s ground is less than 30,000, such number of tickets as is equal to 10 per cent. of its ground capacity; and, whether or not that allocation is taken up, tickets for a minimum of 10 per cent. of the Home Club’s disabled spectator accommodation.
At least half of the tickets referred to in Rule J.7 above must be made available on a sale or return basis and the balance must be ordered by the Visiting Club (subject to the conditions set out in Rule C.80) at least 4 weeks before the League Match to which they relate. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!it seems like it is 10% of capacity that must be offered.

That means we must be offered 2759, its up to the visiting club then, I presume to decide what allocation they want to take based on expected following.
They must realise that this will sell out in both ends.

What a journey!Isn’t there a minimum or percentage of capacity ruling for the EPL games?
I know we hardly sell our allocation but when you see for example united at Chelsea, they have the full top and bottom tier from that horrible corner that we always end up in, to just short of goals. If the clubs could restrict visiting supporters allocation, surely chelsea would fill all the seating behind the goals when playing Man U?

What a journey! It’s a bit like when anyone starts a new job I’ve done it misell quite a few times.
You sit there at your desk on the first day not knowing the people, the companies policies, the number to get an outside phoneline, where the post room is, what the code is to the photocopier, the name of the director’s secretary even though you’ve been introduced just a few hours earlier, etc. etc. etc.
You are getting paid full whack from day one to do your job and yet you feel like a spare thingy at a wedding for what seems like years. If everyone was sacked because after a few months they weren’t performing at 100%, there would be nobody in jobs. :teasing-lurk:

What a journey!Seems from the length of his post TL appears to feel the need to unequivocally defend himself and the other darksiders.
I actually got bored with his novel after 3 lines but it looks like someones done a bit of reasearch and highlights the very point I was trying to make. :oFrom Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I will praise a manager at a season’s end if he has made some form of progress on the previous season. So if Latics stay up & in the process get more points & have a better goal difference than last season then Bobby will have made progress & he deserves credit for it – its also only my opinion but I do think that by & large the level of performances (if not results) have improved since February so I’ll credit him with that too.
I don’t think that long term he’s the right man for the job nor do I subscribe to his belief that if we stay up this season then the club will really kick on next season but I hope ot be proved wrong.
That said however jrfatfan – your list of all the things he’s had to put up with just reads like an apologists list & conveniently glosses over the many things he has got wrong at times & the things he continues to get wrong.
The dismissal of him wasting £6.5mill of the club’s money on Boselli as a gamble worth taking but which unfortunately back fired & Bobby can’t be blamed conveniently glosses over he fact that our former director football reported back to Whelan that he didn’t think that a) he was up to the rigours of the premier league & b) was suited to Bobby’s system. Which in turn led to Bobby kicking off, the director of football leaving, Bobby getting his way & a very substantial & scarce amount of money getting wasted. Football is all about opinions but Bobby got it badly wrong with Boselli & if Latics stay up despite this mistake it was a mistake that Bobby must take full responsibility for
Likewise blaming poor refereeing is the refuge of the desparate – I say that as a ref who copped an earful yesterday at full time from a player who said I cost his team the game. The same player who had blasted a penalty 10 yards over the bar in the 1st half yet it was my fault they lost!! latics will have had as many ropey reffing decisions go their way as they will have had go against them. if they go down its coz they weren’t good enough & not coz of the refereesIf you want to see the “darkside” praise Bobby if Latics stay up then by the same token if Latics go down this season & then struggle next season & he is sacked or hsi contract isn’t renewed I hope that those on the “lightside” who have said that “he just needs time” will hold their hands up & say “sorry Darkside, you were right all along he just wasn’t up to the job” – or will it all have been the ref’s fault or down to “international call ups”?????
You’ve totally missed the point unless you have not been a regular viewer on here all season.
There’s a big difference between the darkside coming on here moaning like old washer women every time we lose and the likes of me, or the lightside if you so wish, defending our club and manager when these “fans” come on with a bitter hatred flavour in their posts.
I’ve not started one thread all season claiming Bobby’s doing a great job and will keep us up. I have no reason to hold my hands up for anything at the end of the season.
However, just count all the threads posted about him taking us down [starting from Sept / Oct last year] some actually state he has already relegated us FFS!!Can you see the subtle difference?
PS If you gave a bad decision at the match you reffed, too true you may have cost them the game. Blasting over a penalty by the team, doesn’t make your bad decision indefensible.

What a journey!I had this feeling that things might go teets up for both Cardiff and Norwich today, so did a £10 double on Boro and Pompey. Both were 3/1.
