I thought the wolves goalie had the longest and most acurate kick i’ve ever seen from a keeper.
Looked a bit dodgy holding on to the few half hearted attempts we had though.

The comment made about the wolves fans having passion is very misleading. It’s dead easy to sing and be boisterous when your team are winning from just a few minutes into the game and the other team look clueless.
For the record we totally outsang the Villa fans on saturday, giving it the ” shall we sing a song for you” routine and there were 35, 000 of the bleeders and only about 1000 of us.
All footy supporters are very fickle and I bet all my life savings that the wolves fans would have been just as quiet as we were if they had lost a goal early on and were playing as bad as we were.
I seem to remember a very qiuiet Mollyneux when we thrashed them a few seasons back when Ellington banged one in from long range. Thats fotball, thats fans, thats not passion.

Wasn’t that 16661, app 3,000 more than the WRLFC got against the wolves recently?

But as I pointed out in another post, we were equally as good satdy as we were bad tonight. Bobby needs to learn quickly that teams like wolves, burnley, stoke, birmingham, etc. will close us down for 90 mins, that exactly the game plan that has kept us in the prem for 5 seasons.

The only way to beat it is up the tempo, this passing across the backline at snails pace just allows their midfield to sit back and wait for the mistake and it came time and time again, mostly in the form of a huge boot into touch from bramble. Our passing at Villa was much slicker and quicker but to be fair villa gave us the space and time to do that.

I went to Villa on saturday and I’ve never looked forward as much to a game as I did tonight. We’ve seriously gone from champions league material to championship material in 72 hours.

I was wearing the new away top on saturday with SEASON 5 on the back, the chances of having SEASON 6 on the back next year is looking rather slim after that performance. I think Bobby has to consider having a plan B. You cannot keep passing the ball back and forth across the back line when losing 1-0 and less than 10 mins on clock.

Lets hope the team who turned up at villa park turn up saturday or there will be more numbers on the board than the final ashes test.

If we do get this Bodde geezer from the swans, if i was Bobby I’d bi straight in for kevin Doyle.

Bodde and Doyle in the same team!! That will mean we’ll have the hardest squad in the league.

                    ”Wigan v Wolves

Apart from Arsenal’s win over Everton, Wigan’s victory over Aston Villa was arguably the pick of the opening day’s results.

Roberto Martinez will want a win in his first game at the DW Stadium and I was impressed with the way they played and controlled the game against Villa.

The sooner Wolves come to terms with the fact that they have to take their chances at this level, the better they will be, but I can’t see beyond a Wigan win.

                    Verdict: 2-1″

                    That’s f***** it then. :(

I suggest you check were lawro finished in the CLM prediction league last year and it might just change your mind.

Just go onto google images and type in wigan athletic or a players name etc. you will get loads of photos. Select one with a decent picxel size i.e. above 300 x 300. Click on the image and bring up the larger photo then right click mouse and select set as desktop back ground and you have it. It is better to set it for the screen size rather than tile or centre.
Sorry for the last bit if you already know how to set it up.
