Do you think playing music would have enhanced the goal celebrations when N’Zogbia crashed in that last gasp winner off the post against Arsenal or when he scored another in our comeback against West Ham to relegate them and allow us the chance to secure our Premiership place against Stoke, or perhaps when Maloney smacked in that goal against United and finally, and most notably, Will Grigg’s finish against City when the roof almost lifted off?
No need for silly music there to prompt us and allow middle aged men to make a prat of themselves by gyrating along to it.“Ah, but the kids love it”.
Do you think that in years to come when those kids are asked what turned them into lifelong Latics fans they are going to recall it’s because music was played when a goal was scored or that it was the unforgettable experience provided by the likes of N’Zogbia, Maloney, Grigg and Ben Watson?Put like that Sammy, debate over, no music after goals, it is definitely cased closed.
Should never have been a case opened, horc.
Sorry boys but case not closed. The poll actually is not conclusive and is around the 50% mark. Unless you think the case is closed cos your vote is final?. If that’s the case then please pull the pole admin.

What a journey! If you pick the right song its brilliant for keeping the crowd on their feet after we score. Big yes from me.
I see it differently Nuneaton – there’s few sports that see such spontaneous & prolonged celebrations for things than football and its that spontaneity & hell for leather celebrations that are one of its attractions for me.
I know it’s an extraordinary game & example, but think back to the FA Cup final in 2013. Remember how you felt, remember how you celebrated & then think about the celebrations that were all over youtube & social media (“OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD!!!”) and then think about the celebrations that were on TV (some fella with long hair looking like he was gonna explode whilst punching the air & another bloke behind him with an inane grin on his face, eyes popping out of his head whilst just grabbing & shaking anyone within reach of him)
Now go back to that moment & within a few seconds, cut it all dead by playing some music that does nothing but stop everyone’s spontaneous
OK celebrations & has everyone doing some crappy, cheesy co-ordinated danceKeep the goal music or similar for ice hockey, rugby league or 20/20 cricket but please keep it away from football
Totally disagree, it gets the owd uns like me off my seat and jigging around like a fitting seal. Also bugs the away fans to death seeing the blue masses dancing in unison. Its a modern thing and one that should be kept. What I can’t understand is why some of our fans moan about the tune. They obviously don’t go to many away games as the club tends to choose tunes that we have chants to. Little Wigin are taking the piss for example, the Tom Hark ditty and der der der der, Wigan Latics..

What a journey!Don’t think so Al our fans don’t like that old fashioned stuff.
More like Grigg starting, Vaughan or The Nob End Reject on the bench and Cole out on loan. And where does that put Windass?

What a journey!Connolly is saying that he now wants to establish himself as a midfielder and played there for the tractor boys.
He played right back for us during his first loan spell, so can’t see that he will be our back up left back somehow. From Matlock to ManU

What a journey!Funny I remember the name but can’t remember much about him really. Guess he couldn’t have been that outstanding.
We didn’t have him long and was surprised we didn’t keep him for league 1 as I thought he might have done well at that level.
He scored a couple of cracking long range goals away from home.
You’re on the wrong player, that was Connor Mcaleney who is at Fleetwood. Callum Connolly scored 2 goals on his debut at Burton.

What a journey!Gibbon was a class above today keep sober and out of prison and he can be key to our season
Robinson was lightening and excellent defender he must of been close to pushing Baines out the best left back we’ve had since him.

What a journey! He did a decent job today although at times Morsy and him were chasing the same balls. No negatives today, great start from the boys. How quick is that Robinson??
