One or two? More like 4 or 5. Jacobs set the tone in the first 3 mins, tried to control it instead of hitting first time. Only 10 yards out with two players on the line with goalie nowhere.

What a journey! While we’re at it, well done Dan Burn League one player of the month.

What a journey! He won the corner that led to he goal, infact it should have been a pen.
He also was the one who got done by zabaletta that led to him being sent off. If that’s not noteworthy contribution I don’t know what is.From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!Very sad news, you’ve got to feel for his family and close friends. We didn’t get to know him proper at WAFC, for one reason or another. Still, he will always be remembered as a tics Mon having joined our family.
RIP buddy you are no longer in pain. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I bet it is similar to Evans and Wolves situation. The barcodes will want to get him off their books rather than have him lingering around from club to club. Toney will be on decent money of which Newcastle will be paying a good percentage of. Scunny may be willing to pay a few hundred grand for him perhaps and Cooky doesn’t think he’s worth a permanent contract. Then again I might be way off the mark.

What a journey!I’ve no problem with Shrewsbury nice place decent place to watch football in fact when we entered the league I used to look to clubs like Shrewsbury and Mansfield etc as a benchmark of our own aspirations at the time. I find it a bit unfair that some on here now see them the same way we were always looked at by clubs with big reputations. The Shrews were a much larger club than ours back in the day and it is just even more testament of our unbelievable success that we can lord it over them at present. They are holding off the challenge of the likes of Bradford and Rovers so they deserve every credit irrespective of the type of style they employ.I think you will find that the reaction from posters towards Shrewsbury, is down to the pilluck tedtheshrew. None of this would have been said if he hadn’t posted that drivel.
We will always remember where we have come from, however in terms of petty arguments, I think having spent 8 years in the prem and won the FA cup we will always have the upper hand against knobhead Shrewsbury fans. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I’m also close enough to listen what’s said by both dug outs. Cookie is quite funny and wears his heart on his sleeve. The word childish would be the last word I thought of if asked to describe PC’s antics in the technical area. I remember asking our old friend Phil Dowd about the authority and purpose of the 4th official. He laughed and said we just stand there getting a load of abuse from both managers, it goes in one ear and out the other and we get well paid for tolerating it for 90 mins.

What a journey! There is no doubt that Nick Powell oozes talent, the only problem is his attitude and fitness. On Friday he seemed to be strolling around, then had that shot that nearly beat their keeper and a header late on that went straight to the keeper, either side would have been a goal. We should try to hang on to the lad but if we can get 4 or 5 million, take it and look elsewhere.

What a journey!Wellens has gone public saying he is disappointed with Jack Byrne’s form and is more interested in keeping Kean Bryan on loan.
It seemed that Byrne had started well for them but may have lost his way. Wellens says Byrne as created nothing in the last 4-5 games. Maybe a publicity stunt to make Wigan think that it’s better to leave him on loan, we will have to see. From Matlock to ManU
What a journey!I certainly can see how Shrewsbury win so many matches 1-0 and in most cases do it late on. They frustrate their opponents to death then pick um off late on when they start to throw caution to the wind to try and get 3 points. It nearly paid off against us, we had a couple of scares just before the end.
Not my cup of tea in terms of quality of football but it does get results.I thought and said exactly the same. Could see why they are up there. Not a ‘flair’ side, but one that closes you down well and tight. Very well organised, being honest. Their manager has turned a struggling side into promotion contenders, so fair play.[/quote]
And with a team of non-league players and the odd journey man.
