Strong rumour Blackburn accepted our £10m bid for him and bookies no longer taking bets…
Or not…
”A copper stood on his toe, so he pushed him and was arrested” and there was me thinking pushing someone who may of accidentally stood on a toe was the normal thing to do.If you re-read what was actually said in the original post (not the little made-up quote you’ve included), you’ll see he ignored it the first time.
When it happened once again (quite deliberately), then he reacted as any normal bloke probably would.
You don’t go to football expecting to put up with shit like that, so why should he?I’ve had a couple of run-ins with police at away games.
I tend to find it’s only ever coppers at football matches that are complete wankers.
Outside of football, I’ve never had any sort of run-in/bad experience with the police.I actually got kicked out of Old Trafford last season for absolutely nothing.
The people around me were just as shocked as I was that the police had asked me to leave.
I was buying a pie at half time, got my change back, and next thing I’m being asked to leave the stadium as a result of “racial abuse”… unbelievable.
I pleaded my case (which mainly consisted of “I’ve not actually done anything) and I still ended up spending the whole second half sat on a wall outside.
Safe to say I won’t be there this weekend. Not wasting my money.just pointing out your stupid spelling mistakeOh dear…
“Mirical”, “Schamak”, “Ony”
But yeah, salford’s the one making a fool of himself
In 30 years of watching football, you tend to know who is a good player and who isn’t.is that so, whoopee do then. well done on that.
Arsene Wenger tends to know a good player when he sees one. I will trust his judgement.
is that so, would you include schamak(sp),arshavin(sp) and his list of dodgy keepers in that lot?
“Whoopee do”
I’m sure you told someone to “grow up” in another topic..?In response to your second point – yes, Arshavin is a quality player with a poor attitude.
Chamakh was highly sought after when he was at Bordeaux, looked unreal in France. Why would Wenger not sign him up on a FREE transfer?
Not adapted well to the prem, but that’s the risk you take.Saying that, every manager makes 1 or 2 poor signings from time to time.
Fergie’s signed his fair share of shockers – still a class manager who gets it right 95% of the time.
No way you can say Wenger, a manager who put a team together that went a FULL season unbeaten, doesn’t know a good player when he sees one?how can you judge him on just a cameo appearence?thats s a silly statement. i will be on the fence till i ve seen him play a few full 90mins. no doubt the boo boys will sonn be on his case if he dosent perform miricals. thats the trouble with some so called fans, always qiuck to ruin someone. teale, gomez, thomas even bullard came in for it.we must get behind all our players if we want them to be at their best.right?
Why is it a silly statement? No, I KNOW Ryo is a good player, because:
1. His parent club is Arsenal. Arsene Wenger tends to know a good player when he sees one. I will trust his judgement.
2. I have eyes. He came on as sub, and I could see with MY EYES that he obviously has some talent and ability to run at the opposition. Had we put him on sooner, I think we would have won the game.
3. After witnessing the likes of Stuart Whittaker and Pat Gavin in the past, I know what IS a good player and what isn’t.
So no, it wasn’t a silly statement. It was actually a measured assessment from the above factors. In 30 years of watching football, you tend to know who is a good player and who isn’t. Ryo is definitely a very good addition.
Agree with this.Very highly thought of at Arsenal. I know a certain section of their supporters were even questioning Wenger’s decision to loan him out again – they wanted to see him given his chance in their first team.
Anyway, seems to be very lively & dangerous when running at the opposition defence.
Adds a different dimension with his pace & willingness to take on a few players.
Could even have a “mirical” or two up his sleeve.. who knows ;)you cant come on here and make a negative comment about martinez and his merry men and not escape the wrath of the lightsiders led by there leader Mrs griff :cheer:What’s negative about sending a young player out on loan for first team experience?
Joe Hart was loaned out to lower-league sides at 20 years old… didn’t do him any harm.
Not Martinez’s biggest fan myself but don’t see what you’re moaning about here?
I think the trains from Wigan go to Victoria. if they do then jump on the metrolink to Piccadilly.
Once at Piccadilly come out of the station & turn right at the lights to go up Ducie Street. Walk up there past a couple of car parks & apartment/hotels/converted warehouses & you’ll notice a canal on your right on side.
Get on the tow path & walk up the canal past some relatively posh looking apartments till you come to a road bridge that’s a dual carriageway.
Up on to the road, cross over the dual carriageway. Take your first left & from there you can see the ground & follow the crowds.
Its not really any bigger walk than from Wigan town centre to the DW.
Or you can be a lazy get & jump in a cab but be warned I tried that once with a group of us & the taxis in Manchester get very busy approaching kick off for City games & I think we ended up getting to the ground 15 minutes late after waiting for over half an hour for a cab when (unkonw to us at the time) it’d have been quicker to walkThe Manchester Airport train stops at Piccadilly so we’re gonna jump on that.
Cheers for the advice.. could save us a bitta time and money!says int WEP chomping at bit to get int first team is this the same mon who wanted to fo ok off after five minutes of being here ,or is it so he can impress and fo ok of int January transfer window ?
This is what I don’t get… if Kapo hates Bruce so much, why did he follow him from Birmingham? :?
They got on fine at Birmingham when he was playing well…Only fell out whilst he was at Wigan
It was never a foul anyway that lead to the free kick. Just sayin like.
Absolutely right, and in my opinion, that was the reason Wiley blew when he did because he knew he’d got it wrong.
At least that was one thing he got right
Not according to this well-balanced view ;)

HahahahahahahahahahaMe thinks that guy had a healthy portion of sour grapes for breakfast..
What a laughable post!Kanu? how’s about Ka-NO! (see what i did there) ;)
Way, way, WAY past it!
You’re after experience?.. ye why don’t we go for Dwight Yorke too.
Pele’s got plenty of experience.. lets try and tempt him back in to football whilst we’re at it! :roll:As for you Vat.. chill out son.
You’re going ape on an online forum..
Most of the points you make are valid.. but why waste your time?
Earlier on someone made a joke about you not going anymore.. and you come back with a big serious rant.
Don’t take the bait.Yes he did go with Pompey and one or two other prem sides had a look at him. He is recovering from an injury and they were all concerned about his fitness level so made no offers.Forgot to include that in my little rant
But yeh.. had nothing to do with him not being good enough, was just concerns over his fitness!
Thank feck for that
Makes me wanna tear my hair out that fella
I have no idea what you’re moaning about
We’ve just shipped out 2 centre mids… so I dunno why you’re complaining that we’re bringing another in.
The lad is an integral part of his national team.
He’s played at the top level of French football for the most of his career.
He’s been a week in, week out starter for 2 of France’s biggest teams in PSG and Marseille and played a big part in PSG’s 2004 season when they finished 2nd.
Note that this was his first season playing with PSG and the fact he was never out of a team who finished 2nd says something..
We’d be getting a player of high quality for FREE.
AND HE’S STILL ONLY 26.Yet the typical negative Wiganers still moan… fook a doodle do
Whelan is holding our club in his hands which are getting tighter and tighter. He is almost like the us president pushing the button to launch nuclear war heads, then retiring to the safety of Norads Cheyenne Mountain. In the same way, the evil Whelan will decimate Wigan Athletic then retire to his Barbados retreat, leaving us behind to salvage what we can from the ruins left behind. This man needs to be stopped now before its too late, or we will all suffer devestating consequences. ;)You have to admit bobbys…
You are a bit of a repetitive, boring bell end?and the amount of so called wiganers wandering round with there man u, everton, liverpool tops on, with stacey or trace on there arm with britney in tow. What a joke our fellow public are. They have even got an official merchandise section for warriors stuff and next to it chelsea merchandise and other football teams.
Is it any wonder our crowds are down, you could go into wigan or around the stadium and not even know we exist, let alone established in the premier league.
It devastates me that are fellow wiganers are so fickle and blind to how we have a proud excelent football team, i am gutted.
Bunch of glory hunting useful parts mate…
Does my head in how many good and bad people live in Wigan! -
