Anyone who went, who made a claim for a starting spot and who will be on there way out by the end of the window?
It’s a no brainer for me. Everyone moans about the disruption it causes. Why Europe wouldn’t agree to it too is beyond me. I know they don t all ko at same time but there’s not a lot in it. The only downside if Europe don’t agree is the alleged unfair advantage with our teams in Europe but the big clubs have more clout in not selling to there European et rivals anyway. In reality its about 8 of our 92 clubs. I think the prem league need a certain majority to overturn any rule which means the big boys can basically veto it
Grigg and Powell for one position ably backed up by an enthusiastic youngster in Lang and well probably add Hunt for his experience and influence. Considering its 1 up top that’s plenty.
When we won this league last year we had Grigg and a never fit Davies at this stage.
Or he could be being tactful rather than saying what many have said who have watched pre season “I’ve had a look and he’s shite!”
I saw nothing from him last season to worry about him leaving.
What position do those three players play JR? Who of the first teamers would you drop for them?
Not a lot of other options when the other two strikers are injured. Agree on Bogle, when he went through three times against Leeds and never looked like scoring I thought then this fellas shite. The fact once he actually ended up running back towards our goal whilst Powell flung his arms in despair said it all. His moaning all the time winds me up too. Now’s the time for Cook to find these things out
Didn’t think he’d top getting changed into his full kit but he just did.
Yes
YesC) would he want to
Probably not
Nathan Jones nailed on!
What’s his links to wigan though, as Lostock said he had some links?[/quote]
His assistant is a Wiganer – Paul Hart.
All the loanees playing, proof of that daft must play clause.what a wasted chance for playing the youngsters. Whoever negotiates these deals shouldn’t be allowed anywhere near in the future. Trying to avoid relegation by picking a team you dont really want to. Utter madness
I get the impression Jones is more than happy following Martinez around the world rather than trips to Fleetwood.
As for Keane imagine the distain he would have for the 21year old kid asking him why he should give him a job. Pay money to watch that.
Disagree. All four have seen their stock fall and need to reinvent themselves. Wigan with our squad and positive investment should be any easy opportunity to get a promotion on their CV. After all if Caldwell can ……
There are for me four experienced championship managers out of work with flawed CV’s who could relaunch themselves by winning league one. No comp so can pay them more which they would demand. Probably pay the same overall than well end up paying a less experienced currently employed lower league boss.
Don’t think we’d go far wrong with in order of preference..
Pearson
McLaren
Neill
JackettI’m with Tyldesley but can see your point JR.
My opinion is the league table never lies.
Every team has injuries can’t blame them. Bad management means you cant cover fir them.
Even though we were in every game that was more to do with our negative containing tactic which ruled out any chance of actually winning the game.
I agree we weren’t the second worst team unfortunately Joyce made us into that.
We do they just haven’t been allowed to
