Scotland tried to kiss his badge when he scored. He missed unsuprisingly and got a gob full of laces.
I have lived and worked in Dubai for the last 3 years or so. Dubai is bust, they cannot finish the projects they started, never mind new ones.
Abu Dhabi are rich, so much so that they bailed Dubai out to the tune of 30+ billion dollars.
But as for Qatar, they make Abu Dhabi look like Marsh Green. They are now the richest nation on earth, and on paper, every Qatari is pretty much a millionaire (national wealth / population).
Most of the expat guys who moved on from Dubai have gone there. Expats from Abu Dhabi, Muscat, Al Ain, Cairo are all going over there at a rate of knots. The place will be the new Dubai, but not on borrowed money. They are doing 5 golf courses (same as Dubai), 4 football Stadiums in Doha (3 more than Dubai) (air conditioned with roofs like Cardiff) – look at their World Cup bid, new tallest building in world etc.
If any of you want a few years work tax free abroad over the next ten years – this is the place to be, it will be booming in 18 months. Went to Doha a few weeks back, in one month alone 6 bar chains have opened up a Doha branch (under licence from various hotels).
I would be willing to bet that half the premier league who are over 30 end up there when these stadiums are built.
All the signs out here point to Doha being the new Dubai, THE place to be seen (holiday wise) within 2-3 years, leaving Dubai part finished and forgotten. (I go in 8 months on internal transfer).
What work do you do in Dubai Mighty_aff if you don’t mind me asking?
I work in the Construction Industry – im a structural engineer.

Not about football – i was watching something on the History Channel a few weeks back and she goes “Its rubbish this channel, same old same old, all they ever do is go on about stuff that happened in the past”. I didnt speak to her for 2 hours.
Spent more time as a professional footballer at wigan than you James. Who?
Jason Scotland 50/1???
IS that next seasons starts to goals tally?
I don’t think you can blame the MoS, they’re just doing they’re job. I mean if a huge story like that comes across to them a journalist isn’t gonna just let it go. Triesman shouldn’t have said it, he had no reason to.
Of course he had a reason to; he was trying to get into a girl’s knickers.
And why did other newspapers, including that paragon of virtue the News of the World, refuse to take it as they deemed it not be in the national interest?
It’s a non-story – as it was clearly a personal and totally unfounded fabricatation and not repesentative of the offcial FA line – and has possibly terminally affected the World Cup bid.
Yep, properly in the national interest, that one.
More importantly, is she fit?
Why did old misery keep talking all bertie big b0ll0x about a warchest then???
The ‘voice’ of reason banned??? Didnt see the post, must have been an epic though, the last few personas breakdowns have been spectacular.
Bye Bye Dave.
Dave – best breakdown yet. Who you coming back as this time ala Doctor Who metamorphis?
Sad.
Valencia, Palacios, Chimbonda, Bullard, McCulloch…..what do they have in common? None of them were signed from a Premiership team.
Yes they where – US.
Thats half his point.
Dave, you are making a fool of yourself now. Go and enjoy your busmans holiday and we will see you next season ! ;)
Shakes head and wonders where this site went downhill.
I need say no more.
No – you dont need to say any more. Absolute drivel, blowing this way and that. Its not too long back that you said you where becoming an Everton fan because you where sick of how things where. Im no fan of Martinez, i really believe he is way out of his depth, however, my opinion doesnt change on the whim of some of the posters on here you suck up to. Its a sad state of affairs when all you do is write 1000 word diatribes in the hope that one of your posting heros comes back with “well said Dave”, or “Couldnt agree more Dave”.
maybe ‘big dave’ has his eye on a big compensation payout, should any team be daft enough to take on bobby. Bit like touting our best players for sale all the time, only this time its the manager.
What about Stefan Bidstrup? The “best box to box midfielder” in the world, according to Brucey Rioch.
Scharner agreed terms with Fulham in January.
