14 December 2009 at 5:26 pm in reply to: So Bobby Head ‘reluctantly’ wants to sell Figueora eh? #15249Mighty_ass, what a pathetic post, why did you bother?
Sorry it couldnt have been as eloquent and well structured as one of your multi-posts David. Next time i will try doubly hard to ensure i get maximum irritation from you.
Oh, and thanks for the compliment on my ass. Not used to getting them from men though, however, naming oneself after a singer of Mr Grays ilk, i can understand why you would find yourself drawn to it. However, im not that way inclined, so your efforts would be better chanelled elsewhere, and perhaps you would get the ‘result’ you are looking for. Hope this helps.
We are desperate for someone who puts the ball in the back of the net. We could (and probably should have been) 4 or 5 up on Saturday, but due to poor positioning, decision making and finishing we weren’t and it cost us the game. It isn’t the first time and won’t be the last time it happens. We need to spend money (and I mean £6m or £7m +) on a goal scorer and not someone who can hold the ball up.
I would hold a pre-match trial, an hour before the next home game, for 20 random speccies, and whichever can do the most keepie ups, gets to start ahead of Scotland. Said Trial will also be an inquest into why our ever so lovable, ever so inept favourite spaniard, keeps on playing the pineapple headed t1t.
Ive got my wine, whens the next round?
Youre not wrong – Burns and Smithers.
They don’t know because:A: He spins around that much.
And
B: Both are equally as bad.
They don’t know which of Steven Hawkings feet is the best, either……….
Believe it or not Hawking and Scotland have statistically scored an equal amount of premier league goals, however, most folks think that come May, Hawking is more likely to finish with more.
Most of the long term fans who go week in week out are ‘wigan men through and through’ – does not mean they will be up to the job of managing a premier league club.
Changing Bobby now would probably not improve us, but if he keeps plugging away with Scotland and Gomez, it will certainly relegate us.
He should drop 4 or 5 from that team, but he wont. The same clowns will start next weekend. How bad is it that your main striker doesnt even know which is his stronger foot? Cant score in 14 games. Awful. Everyone sees it, except Martinez. We will need a new manager to build for the championship come March, because when you rose tinted specs brigade are looking at us at played 30, 20 points, Scotland zero goals, you will all be saying – why did no-one act? Terrible situations develop when good men turn away and stand idly by. If he plays the same team against Sunderland, he should not just go, but be sacked.
You will be dismayed come March when he finally drops Scotland. The cry will be ‘alas, too late’.
he wont get a start. There is no way he will drop scotland and move rodellga up front so sinclair can start.
I truly despair of this ridiculous situation.
I bet King is laughing his head off in D Wing. Jason Scotland – why couldnt he get locked up???
cockneylatic / mudhuts etc – without people viewing / posting on these websites, you would be zero. If you want it to be no-one posting, except the chosen few, why dont you take the websites offline and just emial each other, you can after all multi copy people in emails.
Lots of posts on here are about sacking Martinez etc and shame on Whelan. What can we do about that result, absolutely nothing, are we annoyed – of course we all are, but all we can do is to see how they react come the next 2 games. You dont think that they arent embarassed?Am sure Martinez knows what his problems are and we can see a motivational issue, they do seem to give up. Have faith he will change things.
What happened happened, lets move on !
All this keep the faith b0llox. Utter pap. THats what you all said after portsmouth.
Yeah, keep the faith, Scotland is ace, Gomez is class. Sorry bobby, enough is enough.
Not my words…Ratings can be tricky to get right – after all, there is no correct answer. Should more Spurs players have approached the 8, 9 and 10 of Niko Kranjcar, Aaron Lennon and Jermain Defoe?
In my opinion, defenders shouldn’t get very high marks when they’re not actually having to do much defending. Wigan were not exactly offering a stiff test yesterday, so that’s why most Spurs players got seven – they played well, but against a team of non-entities.
It might look odd to give Chris Kirkland seven, but the Wigan goalkeeper made a couple of excellent saves. Without him, Spurs would have made it to double figures. It’s not his fault he played behind Titus Bramble, Emmerson Boyce and Erik Edman – Sunday league footballers in the actual as well as pejorative sense yesterday.
One out of ten? Yes, perhaps you’re right. That’s too generous for Edman. He wasn’t that good. But in the end I decided that for a player to get 0, he would have to have spent the 90 minutes unconscious. Edman was, however, moving throughout the game, although very slowly and with no apparent defensive purpose. He was easy to spot: the guy in the bright orange shirt looking very unhappy, usually ten yards or so behind Aaron Lennon as he disappeared into the distance with the ball.
Tottenham ratings:
H Gomes 7
V Corluka 7
M Dawson 7
J Woodgate 7
B Assou-Ekotto 7
A Lennon 9
T Huddlestone 7
W Palacios 7
N Kranjcar 8
P Crouch 7
J Defoe 10Wigan ratings:
C Kirkland 7
M Melchiot 3
T Bramble 1
E Boyce 1
E Edman 1
H Thomas 3
M Diamé 2
C N’Zogbia 3
P Scharner 3
H Rodallega 3
J Scotland 3i 100% agree with what was written – and its all down to Martinez being stubborn and pretending he is a master tactician. Clueless, out of hos depth. I said this a while back, and really made a point of it after portsmouth.
Championship next year, with a ridiculous goal difference. Thanks Dave for putting in the cheapest candidate for the managers job.
Sunderland will get 4. You can get 20/1 on a Bent hat-trick. Double it with Scotland not to score at all, all season (on Blue SQ) – it will pay for the summer holidays!!!!
Cheers pal… Found it quite hard to read with all the spelling mistakes and sentences that made no sense though. Managed to make it out in the end though. Thanks for that
I might just do that but I couldn’t do one aout the fans forum as I wasn’t there
Did our spanish “messiah” actually really say “Jason Scotland does not know which is his stroger foot, he is that good?”
If so, just goes to prove how daft he is. Scotland is as bad with both feet. Useless.
Don’t think Kenny Swains team would of got beaten 9-1. Think about it, if Spurs drew Chester in the cup, would they stick 9 goals on em?we where and are absolute dog cack.
Its clear that the players are as bewildered as the fans. Martinez hangs his hopes on Scotland and Gomez. Apparently Martinez stated “Scotland doesnt know which is his better foot, left or right, he IS THAT GOOD”.
The last manager i wanted us rid of was John Benson. But you can bet John Benson wouldnt have had us lose 9-1.
Close the door on the way out Bobby.
Looks like Mr.Hyde was out again today.
:D :D :D :D
No, simply put, our young spanish manager played Scotland, Kapo and Gomez in the same team. I dont think he will be doing that again in a hurry.
Gomez – WORSE THAN PERON.
Yep a once great site ruined by a ignorant child
AN ignorant child not A ignorant child, even if I was a child im obviously more intellectual than you
Its ‘even if i WERE a child’. Not ‘even if i was a child’, as that is clearly what you were prior to adulthood, as we all were. You clearly are not intellectual at all, merely someone with what can be described at best as an individual with a poor grasp of the present and past tense.
