Who’s Discord? Is he any good?
No, I’m Spartacus.
Buy some heather off a pikey instead of telling them to fuck off and get a proper job and house !Just re-reading your post a few times. Do you mean that us fans should buy some lucky heather and you need to get yourself a proper job and house? Personally I would have left it at the heather and not mentioned your other stuff.
;)
In fact, found this little snippet on him from a recent game – his comments about his own ability are staggeringly modest.
Scotland came off the bench in the second half to double the South Yorkshire side’s lead – after Chris Dagnall’s opener – the Reds emerging 2-0 winners over Millwall at Oakwell.
The result means Barnsley, as well as fellow bottom-three team, Bristol City, who beat Watford 2-0 at Ashton Gate, are now four points behind the Blues, although both have far superior goal differences.
“Jason played his part. But I’m more excited about his quality on the ball, his passing, his movement, wow, his one-touches – brilliant,” said Flitcroft.
“His finish was exquisite, but I look at his all-round game, his intelligence, runs and link-up play and he said to me before the game: ‘Don’t worry about me Flick, I’ve got an unbelievable touch and my movement is great.’
“I’ve only known him 24 hours, but there’s already an excitement round him and a calmness and I look forward to working with him because he might have found a home here.”
The sooner we get him back the better. I blame being ill for working this out, and not merely because I’m a boring bar steward. Seems like he could well become our most prolific Premiership goalscorer. The below is a our Premiership goal scoring rate per game:Amr Zaki 2.9
Aroune Kone 3.5
Henri Camara 3.5
Jason Roberts 4.3
Marcus Bent 4.4
Hugo Rodallega 4.7
Charles N’Zogbia 5.5
Emile Heskey 5.5
Franco Di Santo 6.2
Lee McCulloch 6.6
Antonio Valencia 7.8
Jordi Gomez 8.3
Jimmy Bullard 9
Ryan Taylor 9.3
Victor Moses 9.3
Paul Scharner 10.4Can’t be right this. Jason Scotland is missing.
Two words
In fairness it doesn’t take an awful lot to get called up to the ROI squad i.e. Darren O’Dea, Paul McShane, Paul Green ffsWasn’t Paul McShane the guy who played Ted Bovis in Hi-De-Hi? Fair play, I thought he was dead.
My very own thread, thanks so much. :woohoo:No problem Dave.
Not just him, Di Santo was as bad yesterday. Lack of work and slowness though, only SlowMez irritates me so much.Hi Dave. Welcome back. Did not know they let you guys have access to the Internet on your treatment wing. Fair play though, hope it helps.
They won’t go down. QPR, villa and Fulham will.
Great goal and a good point. Wigan climb out of bottom three but things are hotting up.It’s looking grim for Villa, the only team in the bottom nine to lose today. The penalty was disputed, but Villa were outplayed.
A crucial run for Wigan coming up – and a bad time to lose Ramis;
Tuesday Bournemouth a
Saturday Sunderland h
Tuesday Stoke a
Saturday Southampton h
Saturday Chelsea a
Saturday FA Cup
Saturday Reading aThe penalty against villa was 100% not a penalty. The lad who went down, watch him in match of the day, he goes “he didn’t touch me”. Penalty given, one nil. Fair play to saints though for not looking a gift horse in the mouth. These bad bad officials are ruining the game.
Hope he sets the pulses racing like that other scandinavian d.v.d purchase …the legend that was Stefan Bidstrup.Denmarks best box to box midfield motor !!!!!Yeah, but unfortunately the ‘box to box’ they where referring to was ‘chicken nuggets’ to ‘big mac’.
The MARTINEZ MAFIA,is the other camp,we all know the members as well ;)Not in either camp as you put it. More of a realist myself. Taking your category A as you put it, what would you have us do? Go get Alex ferguson or Jose mourinho? We can’t. I’ll put it in terms you might get. We all have a mrs, but most Saturdays you wish she was angelina jolie. She ain’t, it’s not going to happen, and the reason that is is because she has brad Pitt. Getting this yet? As one of the worlds premier women she is coveted by a lot of guys, but you get nowhere near her because she can pick and choose what when and who she wants to be with. So, like the rest of the normal world we move on and operate in the circles we can with the hand we have been dealt. I am a Wigan fan as I am from Wigan. From beech hill. I don’t support united,Everton, Liverpool or even Celtic like half the lads I grew up with. It takes a certain kind of individual to keep supporting something that isn’t going well, sometimes like a marriage analogy and wanting angelina as the wife. I’m guessing that if you can drive and own a car, you might want to swap your Citroen Saxo for an Aston Martin Vanquish perhaps? These are things that are in your everyday life amongst others that most would feel could be better, but with resources available cannot be obtained. Do you mention these as many times as you mention wigans manager? Doubt it, and the reason you don’t is because the things I mentioned above (or at least a step toward them) can be achieved by self betterment, qualifications etc, and when not attained there is only one person to blame and that’s you. With Wigan, you had no input in martinez’s appointment and therefore can criticise it apportioning blame for what you perceive as lack of trying. I accept he may have a lack of ability and certainly resources, but not effort.
As for category B, I’m not his biggest fan, and he has made some strange decisions it would seem, but he is the guy who is trying. We should be loyal to him, he is the front man for all our hopes with this club. And until he goes in a week, a year, 5 years whatever, we should show the respect the position he holds generates. When I’m at work, if one person started questioning and analysing everything I did, without knowing why I was doing it I would not be happy. Imagine having a job where there are thousands doing the same to you every week. Christ, if we brought Pep Guardiola in as a replacement and he sold your favourite player you would be on here moaning. Some folk seem to want a bad result to moan.
So in summary, I don’t think there is anything wrong with healthy debate about games, results, managerial decisions, but not simple vitriol and hatred.
If you want the unachievable, I suggest you bin the wife and head to California with a bottle of white to jolies pad, start supporting L A Galaxy, sell the Citroen Saxo for £1400 and use it to cover the first two weeks of a single monthly payment on the Aston, and get yourself in the European Champions circle of operation, because it is that easy!
If not, I suggest you become a little bit more realistic in your outlook, and keep your head, watching your own team, and enjoying the successes we have, and laugh off the defeats without it becoming despair.
Well, well, well…
Mr Pom Pom has turned into Mr Giveup.
If anyone ever doubted that Wigan fans were fickle, here’s your answer.
Unbelievable, and pathetic. Grow up!!!
Good job this board or any board for that matter was going after the Canvey Island escapade
Actually, Cockney Latic DID have a message board then and there was quite a lively debate about where white dog poo had gone, you never see it anymore.
We generally congratulated Canvey on their win and got on with having a laugh – oh those were the days eh!! goodpost B)
Going back to the canvey island days, I think it was me he started the white dog poo thread, it’s a long time back but I seem to remember posting it. And the reason it is not around now is due to the same reason I originally stated – a dog food called ‘Something feast’ that was about 80% chalk and ash meaning the dogs crapped pure limestone. It was not a problem to step in one as it simply crumbled, and did not get in the tread. Good old days. Mark my words, once we see white dog turd on the streets again, we will know the recession is over!
absolute garbage same with koneYou lot are mental. According to the bbc (Gareth crookes) end of year statistics, “beausojour” put in the most crosses FROM ANY PREMIER LEAGUE PLAYER OVER THE SAME PERIOD. He put in 217 crosses. Closest was 210. See link
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20872902
Personally I think he is a decent player, and if he was better he would be somewhere else.
