Couldn’t have scripted it better.Oldham grab a draw,Millwall lose at Bradford .Not only puts Millwall virtually out of the automatic promotion chase but also means they will be fired up on Monday .Keep ourselves on this roll and the finish line not far off.
Too many recent draws could cost us dearly come May.We unbeaten in 15, Walsall shocking recent form( 2 wins in 8)but now level on points. Can’t help feeling we should be a few points clear of the chasing pack.Burton’s 4 draws against our 14 puts them deservedly top.
Great attacking performance, super and deserved result from I think an excellent squad of players. So many top performances yesterday but special praise for Ryan Colclough.Thought he was superb yesterday and only 21 definitely a great future investment. Wasn’t too surprised by Oldham’s win yesterday as I thought they played well last week and Sheriden seems to be getting them playing now.Let’s keep up this run and put pressure on Burton as I’m sure they’ll have their blips soon.
Nous……Thanks for that….Knew I was getting close…My mate needed Everton to score for 100 quid…..He shouldn’t have looked at the match stats. ..%76 possession and 32 efforts on goal….ouch !!!
wooops !!….Nounce….Funny though
I work with a couple of Oldham supporters and they say that since Sheriden was appointed they have showed some backbone .They reckon they are at least showing some stomach for a fight which is probably due to the manager being a feisty character when he played. They have gone down to a couple of 1-0 defeats and a 1 -0 win since he was put in charge so like the Crewe game I think we can’t underestimate them and ignore their league position and they seem to have improved defensively so 2-0 win for me.
Might be another addition before 11pm tonight if it’s true Hiwula has been recalled by Huddersfield. Definitely need forward cover, especially after losing Holt !!
Superb controlled performance.Sends a message to the wobbling teams above us .Roll on Sheffield a game we can win albeit a tough one. Leaving the ground overheard a couple blokes moaning “we should have put 8 past em “…can’t please everyone.
GC and JJ both done their jobs with credit .Signing 2 of the best players in this division and possibly more to come. Now the emphasis is on the players to prove themselves .Would like another forward just to give us cover (i’m just greedy). I’m full of optimism that we can push on now and turn some of our draws into 3pts cos albeit Burton are in a great position ( deservedly so) as we have seen many times in the past they have won nothing yet and a long way to go.
I’M useless at pasting links .Went on Crewe vital forum.Had to laugh when I opened the first post ” colclough” from paddockrefugee. So few words says so much !!! Have a look.Tickled me anyway.
Or Agahowa’s reputed multiple backflips…..pity we never got to see one !!
Superb. .Colclough now officially wigan player
And as for yesterday bitterly disappointed with performance and result particularly after hearing the other scores. Won’t get many better chances this season to eat into the teams aboves advantage. Crewe couldn’t buy a win before yesterday so a great opportunity gone begging.
Been saying same about Colclough since I say him in the home game.Great vision can slide rule a ball through and chips in with goals.Last week Chesterfield was great 1st half poor 2nd…..went yesterday and we are screaming out for a goalscorer. Our top man is on 7….teams at top have players heading to 20 goals. Come on Gary go get Colclough! !!!
Not a chance, F.A cup everytime. Absolutely priceless.!
