We’ve not even warmed up yet

Jeez – you make out like Wigan are the only club to have had an overhaul over the summer. I had a look back to Sunderlands 5th league game last season. The starting line up was:

Burge; Willis, Wright, O’Nien; McLaughlin, Power, Leadbitter, Scowen, Gooch; Maguire, Wyke

Of that 11, Only O’Nien & Gooch started yesterday, and 6 of the 11 have left the club.

I then looked at the last game of last season:

Burge, Gooch, Wright, O’Nien, McFadzean; Scowen, Leadbitter; Maguire, McGeady; Stewart, Wyke.

Of that, O’Nien, Gooch, McGeady & Stewart started yesterday and 5 of the 11 have left the club.

Portsmouth had 5 players starting yesterday who started in their last game of the season in 20/21.

I know, but we’ve sacked off many of those bottlers to you!

When do you reckon £10K a week Wyke will break his duck? And more importantly, will he score more than Ross Stewart this season?

I would be looking over my shoulder if I were you.

We are. Its the only way we can look when top.

Shame that. Win that and you could have temporarily replaced us as league leaders.

Thanks for beating Pompey today. That’s points you have taken off 3 of our closest promotion rivals.

Sunderland Reserves away at Sunderland rejects. Not the draw the fans were hoping for.

The positives are that neither side will have one eye on this tie over the next 3 weeks, so it will hopefully not impact with the respective league campaigns in the way hosting Liverpool or a trip to Spurs would have done.

Even the fat gravy stained cuckoo lodgers got 13000 home fans on, 7500 of which werent season ticket holders, paying over £20 a ticket against their bitter rivals in a midweek game they knew they were going to get thrashed.

But as far as I can recall, Nemanja Matic hasnt then donned a terrorist balaclava a la IRA, nor has he sported the Yugoslav equivalent of the Easter Lilly which commemorates an uprising and killing, nor has he turned his back on the flag of the club he represented as McLean did whilst on tour with WBA. Many folk choose not to wear a poppy, but almost all of them won’t then wear something that disrespects the nation and celebrates the death of British soldiers. That is why McLean is singled out for attention.

Hypothetically, would you support Adam Johnson if he was signed for you?

As much as it pains me to say it, I will….

    Well said Bullitt. :good:

Inthink Latics is the only club where the fans haven’t abused him.

Possibly because those of you who grew up in the 1980s are pretty good at bearing a grudge and passing it on through generations.

Compare a Latics fan or James McLean with the monkeys in the “5 monkeys and a ladder psychological trial”, where the UK or Wigan Warriors are the bananas at the top of the ladder. You are reaching a situation where the young monkeys have replaced the old monkeys, but still hate the bananas, because “Its what we do”.

And Whelan could have helped put right the shit storm he helped create by flogging you off to a bunch of money launderers. But he did fuck all, and he’s supposed to be a Tics legend.

And I see that the begging bowl has come out already from the new billionaire owners. Will your “monthly subscription” buy you a blue seat, a white seat, an unused poppy for McLean’s shirt, Charlie Wyke’s laces?

He wont keep his head down for long because he’s a thick prick and thinks this sort of stuff is acceptable:

I bet Jordan Jones is underwhelmed that he’s stuck with that tool as a teammate…

Bookmark 26 February as it will properly kick off between the travelling fans and McLean, as they truly fucking despise him. It would have been spicy already with three former players at Wigan, but having that prick there to abuse brings it to a Phall level.

Cue 90 minutes of “Fuck the IRA” if he’s on the pitch.

For 99% of the support, I’d say that he’s a toxic terrorist-supporting piece of shit who any club should stay well clear of, and will be a drain on finances and morale, because he will divide opinion.

For Stupid Stu, I’d say he’s a perfect signing – a Cnut for a Cnut.
