I’m a fan of yellow as well, second best to all white for away kit .

I’m shocked. I thought the kit worn on 11/5/13 would have been your all-time favourite!

For those of you going to Norwich – enjoy the day. I’ve spent many years living in that city, and it really is a lovely place to live. The only problem is it is 2 hrs from civilization!

(awaiting Egg to now find something in this post to stir up some anti-mutty animosity…)

If anyone wants to bet me that Brentford will finish above us I’ll take it

I’ll take that bet JR. Bookmark it for the end of the season.
Don’t know you from Adam but let’s go with £20. There are plenty on here that do know me and will confirm I’m a man of my word. This is well and truly bookmarked.
Agreed. If you haven’t already, create a paypal account to either pay me or receive your winnings.

They are only antagonistic to those who perpetually carry a fucking great chip on their shoulder and refuse to move themselves out of the 1980s.

The DW has empty seats every matchday, so seeing them for a rugby game is nothing new. Its too big for the support of either club who rent it. It’d be great to see 25000 there every week and plans to fill in the corners due to demand constantly exceeding supply, but its a fact that most of the folk of Wigan will not pay to watch live sport, and no matter how low you make the prices, they wont attend. If you don’t agree, then see how many extra are on there this coming Friday when its £10 a ticket.

As an aside, I was too busy watching the game yesterday to look at this thread. Although I note Egg was on here posting midway through the 2nd half. Maybe he was posting on three separate threads from the DW during a break in play – or maybe he didn’t go. Maybe he’s one of the 1700 who has snapped up a ticket for Preston, or maybe he’ll post his opinions of the game based on Wish FM and 2 minutes on Quest’s Saturday night.

Does that make him as bad as those who were in the pub?

We can compare it to grounds like Leigh and Widnes instead though if you like where they have failed to sell allocations for cup semi finals?

Why not compare it like-for-like (ie an away league fixture at a local rival)? I note you chose not to compare it to the Saints V Wigan league game last month when well over 3000 made the trip across the hill.

Or better still, don’t bring another sport into the thread just to try and score points.

As much as his timing was poor, at least he had the balls to submit a transfer request and forego a “loyalty payoff”.

Compare that with the exodus in 2013 and 2015 of players – none of whom submitted a transfer request so they could get their payoffs.

They wouldn’t take any to Preston you fool. Why would they?

Sometimes Egg, you really do shoot yourself in the foot. Why drag a different sport into it, or is it just to impress your mates?

Check the thread fellas – I wasn’t the one who started it by expressing surprise that it hadn’t sold out. Nor was I the one making a dig at the price of tickets. All I did was mention that I was surprised it had gone to general sale so quickly after 1700 ST holders had bought their tickets.

Is there an additional allocation if the 3K sell out? Its a good while since I went to Preston, and the last time I was there, the whole end behind the goal was available for visitors.

I would have thought more than 1700 would have been snapped up by Season Ticket Holders – if I remember correctly its about 17 miles to Preston.

You’re right that he didn’t have to go through the fit and proper rigmarole.

But the Egyptian bloke who bought Aston Villa in July must have done?

Remind me how Latics started their Div 3 campaign after their relegation in 2015, and subsequent fire sale of most of the squad, meaning that a whole load of new players were brought in within a couple of weeks of the season starting.

I’d say 4 wins and 2 draws, 13 scored and 5 conceded in the first 6 games is a reasonable start.

Has this takeover not happened yet? Jeez, Sunderland’s was done and dusted in a couple of weeks, and the new owners have breathed new life into the club, and even replaced several thousand pink seats with new red ones!

Donny needs the goal music loud from his vantage point miles away from the DW on matchday. How else can he then express his opinion on the game?

I thought you were at the Alston v Allendale North Pennines League derby yesterday. What was the ref like there?
