Just because your jealous of what our club has done over a few years don’t ridicule people who have given all there life to the club (nob ed)
I think I speak for a number of posters on this forum when I say ‘Eh?’
I think he was aiming it at JD and his 1656 comment
I’ll be singing Abide With Me, God Save the Queen and savouring every single second of it all.
Can’t really see them playing the Pistols at Wembley.
Be funny though if they did ;)
OK, so I was pissed off tonight. Really angry at a defensive display that was, let’s face it, a joke.
Swansea are already dreaming of their holidays and were there for the taking. We failed. Miserably!
But on Saturday I’m going to the FA Cup Final. I’m going to see my team walkout at Wembley in the final of the biggest domestic cup competition there is. My first memory of any game I went to was beating Sheffield Weds 1-0 backing the late 70s when we were still non-league. I’ll be there this weekend hours before the kick off. I’ll be singing Abide With Me, God Save the Queen and savouring every single second of it all. I’ll be doing it with my dad (who took me to that first game at Springfield Park), my brother, my sister, my son, my nephew, my cousin’s daughter, her boyfriend and god knows how many others I know.
I cried when we beat Reading to get promotion to the Premier League. I’d have been more than happy if we’d just had that one season in the top flight. Doubtless I’ll still shed a tear when we are relegated, whenever that may be. I’ve been expecting it every year for eight seasons. If it’s this time around then so be it. I’m going to enjoy Saturday. I’m going to enjoy the game after that and the final one against Villa. I’m going to enjoy next season too and the one after that, whatever level we are at.
I take it you weren’t one of those who felt it necessary to boo at the final whistle then.
All things need putting into perspective. It’s a game of football and, whilst we love it and it drives us crazy sometimes, it is still just a game. No booing from me.
….online and they still haven’t arrived. Should I be worried?Yes. Ticket office are excellent and squally despatch same day. I ordered West Brom tickets Tuesday and they were here Thursday.
If we win Tuesday I think we are two points behind Villa who are at home to Chelsea on the Saturday assume they lose and we lose to Aresnal then the last match could still be winner takes all depending on other resultsLose to Arsenal? Have you been on the cider too? ;)
Alan Hansen reckons they had a stonewall penalty turned down; let’s see if they show our penalty shout when Greening blocks a shot with his arm.If he means the one in the second half when Boyce threw his arms up and blocked one then I think he’s right. Mind you, I was a hundred yards away so what do I know!
Yes thank you, we were brilliant ! Get your singing head on for Tuesday !Yes we were. Love away days like today. Unfortunately I can’t make Tuesday :(
I’ll be staying at home. 40 minute train journey to Wembley Central for me and various others from Wigan that are staying with me Friday and Saturday
If anyone gets in any bother and their ticket was bought with your client code then you’re fckd too.
Friended.
Anyone having problems buying tickets online?I’m choosing the match, logging in and getting this: “Event is no longer in event list”
Anyone else?
I had that for the semi final. Cleared cookies and internet history and it worked fine. Might have turned it off and on again too.
I’d really like to join an organised trip, but it would need to fly from Luton or Heathrow for me pease ;)
And at least one member of this board is a director of a company that specialises in group travel and event management
I’m from Cambridge, for me it’s a straight forward Cambridge-> Kings Cross -> Wembley ParkI lived in Cambridge for a few years and would also choose this route.
Terrible really, considering we are a real family club.I’m actually glad we are. Yes, over the years we’ve had our share of ‘lads’, with the Goon squad and what not. But most have grown up or out of that. Our support is very family and young kids based.
We should be seen as a breath of fresh air for the FA and Premier League.
Unfortunately, we still have our fair share, but nothing like those scum from South London.
And to the others that doubt me, photos of the FREE tickets will be uploaded on Monday. Its a bit hard to post photos when I only pick them up from the West Stand tomorrow!
Firstly, and most importantly, many many congratulations to the true supporters – a well deserved victory against a side who huffed and puffed, but never really looked like getting a win.
Now, for those doubters, here’s my FREE ticket:
