What I don’t get is, they knew this situation was here, so why didn’t they offload over the summer? Could have prolonged the administration r even have saved them.

All those games we dominated and got beat in the ten minutes or injury time, it is superb to dish one out

Looks like you can gear up to start again next season Horc. Uncle Boris won’t let stadiums open til June by the looks of things.

Potentially great for me, but a living nightmare should we lose. I live and work in MK and coach an u16s team full of kids that go to see them every week. My closest work colleague’s son plays in their academy and couple of my mates are season ticket holders!
Please let us win this one…

I’ve stopped coming on here recently. Too many hurling childish insults around.

However, whilst I always try to maintain a ‘grown up’ approach I’m prepared to make an exception for you Mutty. You are a twat of the highest order. How dare you take something like Remembrance Sunday and turn it into a nasty, vindictive, shit stirring post on a football message board.

I wear my poppy with pride. I’ve even bought three of the shirts that get auctioned off as gifts for Christmas. If a player doesn’t want to wear a poopy then I respect that and will defend his right to do whatever he likes.

You, on the other hand, can go Fck yourself.

I was wondering about this too, so emailed ticket office last night. Got a reply this morning. Fair play to them, quick response and on a Sunday too.

“Thank you for your email. Season tickets will be posted over the next
few weeks or so. We will start printing them shortly and as soon as we
do, they will be immediately posted out to you, in time for the first
home fixture vs. Doncaster Rovers on Tuesday 20th August 2013.
Thank you for your patience at this time.”

BTW – Agree about some of the poor headline choices.

When you have the likes of shite like Mumford And Sons playing there is no reason to even consider packing your tent surely ! Corporate, green welly wearing, commercial piss poor shindig !

I take it you couldn’t get a ticket then?

everton have been sniffing round McCarthy since last transfer window, and this came from a very good source, who also told me something else thats happenend today about everton selling there training ground to raise funds

You’re not serious are you Ace? Selling the training ground? So what are they going to do, book a pitch at the local Soccerdome? ;)
The Everton selling their training ground story wasn’t exactly a scoop. It was confirmed yesterday in the Liverpool papers and websites. Sold to the council for £12, and Everton rent it back off them.
I take it back then Ace, sorry. Having said that, £12m, less the rent, ain’t no war chest, is it?
I agree. It’s also the kind of thing you would only do if you desperately needed cash to pay a debt (probably not the window cleaner, although I’m sure Filmoss could let us know the going rate for a football stadium), or make an investment. Spending it on players would be just stupid.

Of course, the council may have offered them ridiculous good terms to show their own investment in the club that were ‘too good to turn down’. If they’ve done something to aid Liverpool as well then it sounds like vote winner.

Nah, politicians wouldn’t do that, would they?

The council could be giving them a very generously discounted rent, maybe picking up the rates bill themselves, all kinds of ‘incentives’ are possible/probable. Just look at the way some continental teams are funded.
Even so, for a club of their supposed stature, it amounts to little more than coppering up when the window cleaner turns up.
There’s not half some shite being posted on this thread.

Last week Whelan told us that the ball was now in his court and he didn’t want to make promises he couldn’t keep. That’s not Martinez jumping ship or beng disloyal. Today Whelan said: “Roberto feels it’s time to move on, he doesn’t feel equipped to take Wigan back into the Premier League.”

That doesn’t mean he doesn’t think he can’t take us back up. It means Whelan didn’t give him what he wanted. My guess would be the budget will be slashed, squad dismantled and Academy plans put on hold.

No wonder he didn’t feel equipped. Basically the job is now ‘start from scratch’. I’d have jumped ship too. If I’d have worked miracles for three years, won the FA Cup and got us into Europe then I reckon I’d have earned a move away. If/when he ever brings a team to play us then I will stand and applaud him. I’d even sing his name.

I don’t doubt Whelan wants to get us back up, but I also don’t think he really wants to spend a small fortune achieving it either. I also don’t blame him. He’s heading towards eighty. Christ I’m only forty five and wondering when I can retire!

Let’s just get used to how the future is going to be. It’s Championship or Div one from now on. Time for the real supporters to stand up and be counted.

I have been getting a few emails regarding dates.

Basically if we win our first game would be September 19th, if we lose it will be on the 1st and 8th August.

Hope we win as otherwise I will be getting easyjet on the case and possibly a divorce

    The run down

8th is my wife’s birthday, so if you do find a good divorce lawyer please post details on here ;)
