If anybody is in doubt; just read this:-
With yon mon backing the Brexit side, that’s more than sufficient reason to vote to stay in.
Cameron couldn’t negotiate his way out of Angela Merkel’s kindergarten; so if we sign up to stay, you can forget any ideas of reform ! In short, it’s a bit like showing your wallet to a car salesman. Taking the brave pill is the only way to break the stranglehold of the European bureaucrats; and if we do leave, others will follow !
Oh and your pension will be fooked if we stay http://www.express.co.uk/news/politics/677801/new-EU-threat-pension-expert-vote-leave-protect-retirement-pots%5B/quote%5D
You’re spot on Lozzy !
Wish the spin merchants would stop forecasting a recession upon brexit. If they care to examine the last 43 years of EU membership, it’s not exactly been all milk and honey and boom time ! So whatever the economic outlook, we always have to deal with it our selves ( as LHL says – we are not even allowed to bale out our own steel mills ). That just leaves the little question of Sovereignty. Couldn’t beat us on the battlefield so I don’t see why we should let them pick our pocket.
I think the bad press about his style and reluctance to change will have harmed his chances as a TV football pundit. What do you think ?
Straight swap for GC, anyone ?
No Surrender.
Don’t be a traitor and don’t disrespect all those who died for our freedom.
Europe is like a slimey little pick pocket, stealing back control without you noticing
Papa you loved Bob just like your very familiar bud Lostock Hall.
You both love Bob’s clone Gary now.
When will you turn against our Gaz?Gary “Superman” Caldwell has developed his own style; and IMO it is working better than the Bobby era. Hopefully Gary won’t be a Judas and dump us if a big club ( Celtic ) comes calling ! Let’s hope be becomes the Legend that Bobby spurned the chance to be :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
Let’s hope Blackpool is just a formality and our fans can party whether they are in Wigan or Blackpool.
I think this post and Bobby’s days are numbered.
Don’t think it will make it’s third birthday.Well the beer in Burton should be worth drinking, so how about the women; will they be worth Sxxxxxxg. Wigan boys we are here, Oh, Oh.Not a full house
Anyway, supped plenty of their beer ( as the song goes ) but decided to leave their women alone ( contrary to the song – rough as dogs anyway ).
Well not been on for a while I see this shyte thread is still going with the immature knob heads still posting
Think that comment qualifies you as a Boring Owd Fart then
And as I’m never posting here again no one will read this. First time Bruce was here he gave Mr Whelan assurances he was taking the job even sorted out the players released list then promptly fooked off to Palace. Don’t hear the same “judas” remarks pointed in his direction. And who was it who said after he had left again, “now I can go shopping at Harrods instead of Tesco” ?. mmmmm
Yes Mr Nuneaton, but Brucey never professed to love the club; he was just doing a job and he got us out of the shit the second time around. Bobby on the other hand would have you believe that he bled blue & white if he cut himself; but alas I now realise he was his own best spin doctor. Anyway his spin is running out at Goodison.
Couldn’t agree more Donny, Mr Jewell was the best ever manager imo.
But I did like Ray Mathias..Bob seemed to change his tac tics at 28 games when he knew we were in the s***.. The last ten games were always good to watch under Bobs tenure.
Had he have played that way during those 10 games throughout his 3 years, it would have been a pleasure rather than a chore. I am also not disputing that magical, historical day he brought us in may ’13.
But, lets say for arguments sake our 1st season back in the championship was under bobs tenure. He decided to stay for 1 more season out of a loyalty thing to try & get us back up, but failed against QPR in the play-offs. Fine at least he tried to get us up but sadly failed. He would have gone with my blessing. Had he have kept us up in the premier league & turned round saying “Ive taken this club as far as i can, time for a new challenge.” That is also fine in my book.
But, i cant understand how some on here still hold him with high regard after relegating us. & its not an anti martinez rant. I would be saying the same thing had bruce or god forbid jewell relegated us then left at the 1st chance.
A bit like Pascal Chimbonda who relegated himself from Hero to Zero with one swift move.
I really don’t give a monkey’s what Martinez has said in the press or whether it is right or wrong.
He’s talking about Everton, not Wigan Athletic, so it doesn’t interest me.
He hasn’t been our manager for three years, and we’ve (well some of us have) moved on.
I’m grateful for the FA Cup. And I’m grateful for the wins against Liverpool, Arsenal, Man City, Everton, Chelsea, Stoke on the last day of season, the battering of Newcastle at the DW, the win at Blackburn, and the amazing run of games to trigger The Great Escape. I’m I’m also grateful that he was a mentor to Caldwell, and has had an indirect influence on how the team currently play.
But without this thread, I wouldn’t dicuss the virtues of Martinez at all.
And no, I’m not going to post on this thread any longer…
JOG ON, THEN; Standish Walker
