martinez must see something we don’t to keep persevering with gomez so we must trust him and get behind him. how shit must he feel coming on at his own ground and being booed by his own fans. yes its time for a change lets give him a cheer next time, that might boost his confidence instead of being on a downer all the time, trying too hard to please everyone
not a bad team out tonight should win
Roberto Martinez has hinted that he will hand opportunity’s to those players who have not yet featured in the two Barclays Premier League games so far with the likes of Callum McManaman and Fraser Fyvie expected to start the game.
“It’s a great opportunity to share the demands,” said Martinez.
“You’ve got a few players that have been working really well in pre-season and they’ve have no reward yet and I think it’s important that everyone is ready.
“It’s an opportunity for some other players to show what they can do and show that they can have massive say this season.”
Hopefully we can get the win after the weekend…Maybe play a starting XI that can win the game…Unlike previous years!
not taking it seriously then as usual, another chance for the media to have a pop if we loose
it was a bit heart in mouth till we got the second but a great result
your right yosser, nothing special about them but i think we’re not doing enough and we keep giving away posession far to easily
Greedy bastard.greedy bastard
i remember him well, wasn’t a bad keeper for us but what are peoples predictions for tomorrow. iam sorry but iam not going for ” oh its their first home game in the prem and thet’ll be up for it” bollocks, we are an established premier league team we should be going there and running the show, anything but a win will be a poor do.and if we get beat i hope bob doesn’t come out with ” we showed good character and we were brave because thats starting to wear a bit thin with me 2-1 latics
think the lads made a huge mistake, yes he might have a few more quid in the bank but cant see him playing much first team football. good luck anyway, thanks for the 9 mill you’ve been done you cockney mugs :) :)
scored a few last season as well, maybe we should have kept him and give him a chance, if your good enough your old enough, but will certainly be one for the future.
super lee mcCulloch goes down as one of my latics legends, didn’t half get stuck in and popped up with a few goals, was sad when he left.
dropping ramis might knock his confidence a bit, play him and get saturday out of his system, i would play miyaichi and kone. whats up with boselli?
”what worries me is we never look like scoring ”
Didn’t seem that way from where I was sitting.
i know we had a few chances garswood but what i mean is when were attacking we dont look dangerous enough and i never feel confident that we are going to score where as some other teams going forward look like they could score every time, maybe its just me.
Check the stats from previous seasons and tell me how many other teams have created 14 chances against Chelsea, whilst restricting them to 6?.
Today we got punished for two mistakes early doors, but for 83 minutes we more than matched Chelsea. I really don’t know what all the fuss is about Hazzard. Great turn and pass for their first goal and a good bit of trickery for the penalty [pish poor defending really]. He looked one lazy barsteward tracking back and drifted in and out of the game until he was finally subbed. He made no contribution of note in the second half unlike Moses who looked a threat for most of the game linking up first Boycie then Figs.
Just watched the game again when I got home from the match. The MOM for my money was James Thur and watching it again confirmed that. Great vision, great stamina, great awareness, strong in the tackle and not mentioned by any of the sky pundits, who were wetting themselves over one pass and one dribble by hazzard.
yes we create chances but we need to be putting them away, i said last season if we could score goals we would look a very good side, looked what happened last season, we played newcastle off the park, and took our chances against a team who qualified for europe.”what worries me is we never look like scoring ”Didn’t seem that way from where I was sitting.

what worries me is we never look like scoring and it has been like that for the past two or three seasons. when we are attacking we dont seem to get bodies forward quick enough, several times today we made good breaks down the wings only to have one man to aim at in the box and the others just strolling up like next week will do. also we should get players having a go from outside the box rarther than trying to walk it in other than that it was ok, usual slow start. thought mallony was superb till he went off.
i would leave him out if he is remotly thinking of going to chelsea, his mind won’t be on the job so lets play the people who want to be at the club.
