BY “relatively cheap”, do you mean the same price that our lodgers payed for thier Cup final.

The lodgers are in no position to criticise our attendances after the klumps’ last 4 competitive home crowds with thier “factualy cheap” if not free tickets.

Under 16’s home and away season tickets £28, bring a friend (adults, kids, oap’s whoever) for free and still couldn’t manage more than 17000, latics’s average. First game back after the two most succesful seasons in recent history.

    Oh dear!

Yes but whoever finishes top of league’s 2,1 and the championship are crowned champions and go up as champions. Leeds Rhino’s finished 5th or 6th? and were crowned champions, your argument does not realy stand up Egg.

Plus like super league, the premier league is the top flight so therefore has no promotion so there is nothing to “play off” for.

I would just admit that it is a joke to the vast majority of the sport watching population. It can’t realy be dressed up as anything else, you can’t pollish a turd!

Mcshitdog, why would fans of little clubs like Wesy ham ,Forrest and so on not be on this board when fans from massive clubs like Slumberland (3 points more than us, til Tuesday) and the world famous Wigin rugbi are constanly trolling in jelousey.
Consentrate on trying to get a mouth full of Martin O’Niels sword after the motd, sky sports, daily star and so on and so on’s from the media have swallowed his sacred spunk. Or if that fails just wait til our lodgers give masses of free tickets to thier game against this years super league gimmick team or ome of 12 games vs Saints. If that fails then just play with your egg on the m6

Swap deal for Andy johnson and say 1 or £2mil would be a top bit of buisness.

The thing is I can half understand some fans concerns over the football side of things because we haven’t been brilliant this year (having said that it is a fans duty to support them through thick and thin, and I will do forever) but to have the ignorance to slate Whelan in the way in which has happened on this thread which was meant to be a positive one is beyond belief. No one can actualy be so thick so I conclude they are just attention seekers trying to be controversial.

Everyone has views on tactics and how to play football, I personally am slightly dissapointed with our start and think we need to start picking points up because we wont get many in December, however with the injuries we have had and who we have played and when, it is not panick stations just yet, we are still in October FFS.

If you realy are so Anti Whelan and Martinez then dony bother going to games and come back when we have a Bill Kenyon and Kenny Swaine back in charge. Just stop boring us with the repetative, miserable, depressing, comments because in all honestly nobody regards your views as valid because if we signed Drogba and appointed Fergie you would say why sign that over the hill has been and put a Scottish united reject in charge.

I read a story the other day, can’t remember if it was “t’obby” or “rugby evening post” about an attack on the canal bridge near the stadium, It said the person was (completely randomley attacked not on match day) on the bridge that thousands of football fans use every week, no referance to the lodgers what so ever. It p***es me off that they get away with this bulls**t.

How can you not be negative about this team, They are spineless and are not being trained or taught the game properly.

You know what is going to happen on Saturday. They will pass it about at the back, Knock it into touch more than the rugby do. Lose the ball in midfield, and shoot wide on every occasion. Bad marking, and an arm folded manager on the side lines saying how proud he is of the players and they showed great courage in holding on for a 0-0 draw.

The sooner we are down the better. Whelan will walk and Martinez will follow.

Kinell!!! We are all disapointed with recent results pal but take into consideration injuries and who we have played. I am worried, the most optimistic tics mon on here is probably worried but the attitude you have is just beyond belief!!! We are getting in much better positions this year and altough we will always have a clumsy defence, I think when Alcaraz returns we will do better at the back. Just try getting behind the team and enjoy what might well be our last season in the top flight if that is what it comes to (It wont be though)

As for th comment about Whelan and Martinez walking, I am not going to bite on that one untill you put some propper bait on!!

Dark days ahead for chubbies and indeed rugby league!!

Leigh’s ground may well be available next season too!!!!

Can I just thank everybody that contributes in any way shape and form in advance. Anthony is my brother and going to watch the tics is not the same without him, whether it be springy park, jjb or the aways we used to attend
Anthony and myself have introduced many fans to latics down the years that would probably never have entertained supporting their town team. It’s touching to see all true latics fans get behind him and it proves we still are a family club within. Cheers lads and lasses
