I was comparing the levels of petulance. No denying what you say but as a team player he was not. Losing the ball in the final third he continued this throughout the season without passing, rarely beating men which bared fruit right at the end. Statistically if you really wanna look at this player you may be disappointed.
Anyway back to the original response, both think they are better than what they are. Both trip over blades of grass and lose vital possession in good areas.
Since when was Charlie Nicholas a manager or ever managed?! They are paid to offer opinions and make the show tick over then off home with a fat wallet.
I’d drive me boot up that fella’s arse in respect to his incredible petulance. He goes down when there’s a slight wind and loses good positions for the team by not passing.
Reminds me of a player they had last year who’s doing nowt at Villa.
Okay well all is well debate over! I must promote fraudulence more often.
Deary, deary me!
Point missed badly there mon!
He’s never been the same since being busted for cheating on their maude. Ask yourself how other players are expected to regard what you say knowing you have that behind you which made national press?
He’ll never make it back anywhere.
If you can’t beat them join them eh?! Deary me.
Quite right though there’s a fine line between seeing a player in the flesh and making well informed judgements over 90 mins rather than snippets on MOTD.
So many players have been created as “phoney superstars” by watching these highlights it’s hardly a position being a pundit to make an assessment on a player based upon 5mins of best bits. Bullard was a victim of this and more recently N’zogbia.
The beauty here is that folk listen to them and continue preaching whatever over the top comments they make on players, just go to your local and listen. I regularly watch Premiership Years on SKY and find it interesting how many “wow” words they use consistently to describe player actions like genius, amazing, superb, brilliant and the like. Many of these players ironicially never quite made it internationally i.e Le Tissier, Phillips and a whole host of players.
Looks like Diame is off to Betis. Who cares if Rodders goes, I said he was crap in his first full season and he has shown me nothing to suggest he is any kind of striker. People bum him for some reason though, He couldn’t hit a barn door, He is a match of the day player. They say he is good so he must be. Just like Charlie Adam, people think he is good because they say he is/was. Most over rated player on the planet.Somebody stealing one my my quotes
Mark Leonard and Graeme Lancashire.
I could see in the early stages that booking a player each for nothing was the way this game was gonna go.
I was saying years ago on how many bookings go on in a game which has hardly any contact not like the owd days. Players are booked for first fouls and that takes them out of the game not helped by opposing players dropping around them.
Sammon was unlucky a very poor referee I never saw a good one yet for years. Emphasis on what bookings and reds are needs looking at and redefining.
I turned the game off at half time can’t stomach bull.
Sammy,
It seems obvious to me that Keane didn’t want any fuss regardless of his stature, you must give him that. To suggest going to the reception or telling folk who he is diverts from the real issue of this silly database.
I’ll guarantee you if a comparison was made with the other 19 clubs, you wouldn’t get anything as opaque and at least some middle ground (common sense).
Lenaghan being the latest to join the ‘Millionairres Get Together’ with Whelan and the Ainscough’s this makes plenty sense.
I’ll predict in the near future for PR that Lenaghan will throw his weight behind the proposed Boys/Girls Club backing up his already well publicised friends.
Planting seeds and all that…
Glad to see you didn’t fall for the ‘match of the day creation’ based upon watching highlights then others bandwagon jumping.
He’ll never get anywere, my words were marked over the summer and I’m usually right when judging a footballer.
