i think most people on here will have left a job they like/love at some stage in there life for a big pay rise.

      Rubbish.

We generally go for a big pay rise to get that extra holiday or to ensure long term financial security for our families what has this fellow earned by taking a pay rise?

more money yes but the same things he was entitled to beforehand.

Who knows the FA might earn their corn and GOVERN the sport whilst in the process remove all diving and particularly lack of respect towards refs.

So much has been let go now its too late. Too many vested interests allow the “game” to continue limping along in a bizarre and corrupt fashion. Its a freakshow.

Who knows, they’re may be a program which finally lifts the lid…

They’ll pay it though won’t they? Thus they allow themselves to get ‘shafted’.

Good to see these two doing so well at their respective clubs.

Valencia, well this boy done good. Pure class. Enjoy watching him for united.

Good to see old latics stars making it at the top.

Not sure about pure class, he’s abit limited. If he can’t go outside a player he’s abit buggered. Does a good job though.

I failed to mention how my opinion on Zidane is based upon the modern era of footballer. Best player ever for me is Pele.

Zidane’s goal in Champs League final, two headers to win the 98′ World Cup and also helped his country win the European Championships. I have copied the following from Wiki: –

Without a shadow of a doubt Lionel Messi !

I think you have been listening to Tyldesley going way over the top in commentary backed up by his bumboy Townsend.

Is the above your own true opinion or are you simply led astray by the fierce opinions of a modern day football commentator?

I’m genuinely curious I see lots of people on forums having opinions which happen to have been formed by somebody on the telly. Perhaps if you watched the game muted you would have a different opinion?!

Regardless, the lad needs to transfer his ability to the international scene and win more across board trophies to be even considered up there with the best. My pick is Zidane for ability but most of all his club & international achievements which are breathtaking. The guy has won everything from club to personal awards.

Exactly. He’s just another in a long line of media creations.

People are stupid enough though to hear his name on MOTD or in the newspapers and believe he must be good to have this sort of attention. I’d prefere it if people could make their own minds up and not have it done for them.

Any career move this fella makes will never improve upon the season he had until Christmas.

Maybe you aren’t paying money to go through a turnstile, but I bet you’re paying money to Sky Sports, or paying money to buy a drink in somewhere that’s showing the game, thus keeping them in business and ensuring they renew their Sky Sports subscriptions year after year. Whichever way you look at it, if you are watching live Premier League football, you are supporting the game financially.

No to both. Didn’t you read what I have been saying?

You said you stopped watching after 20 mins !! You couldn’t keep your eyes off it could you !! I bet you watched the whole game and enjoyed every minute of it !!

You have gone slightly off topic here after I ruffled the feathers. I expected others to join your band for the protection of football. I went back to the game in fits & starts.

I don’t expect to answer for myself when I create a constructive topic regarding diving and the like. You have simply swerved around it and gone in to defense mode. I suppose you can’t help it being so deluded. :snooty:

                          Filmoss,

I said I had no vested interests i.e an allegiance in the way of paying money to a club, loyalty to a club thus creating a natural biased.

Otherwise I’m still concerned in the going ons of football and how moronic it has become.

Their will be more like me giving it up, mark my words…

Bale isn’t a diver, when a player of his speed is running full pelt, if he’s just clipped he won’t be able to stay on his feet. I’d say ALL professional attackers or at least elite ones make the most of challenges.

Now that above was the biggest load of dross I ever heard and a familiar football supporters defense of their allegiance to god’s apparent game.

How the buggery have all players since the advent of football with such speed running full pelt managed to stay on their feet with ease? It seems you make the above conclusion based upon the actions of the modern footballer.

I like to think I offer a completely different, unbiased angle having no vested interests is this damned sport.

                            Bale is a diver…

NZogbia was awful again, too predictable so much so everybody knows where he’s gonna go. When he loses the ball through an attempted dribble or crap lazy pass, notice the position which it happens and puts Wigan on the backfoot immediately. He’s getting so bad now that he’s calling for everything when he hits the floor attempting to cheat a free-kick.

I thought the changes upfront were tactically excellent and opened Chelsea up on many occasions. A huge problem was Di Santo’s decision making and inability to pass the bugger, where many opportunities opened up and required a through ball or a simply pass.

Sammon won everything in the air not just with his head but brought the ball down well. A link up player needed at just the right time although I’d still use him as an impact sub. I don’t think he could muster 90mins intensity of his game at all.

I would continue 4-5-1 based upon the fact the later 4-4-2 is an element of surprise. I would drop NZogbia who cannot do the basics and doesn’t link up attacking wise where the ball must be kept to carve open chances. Just take note of how many times the ball is lost in the last third. He would make a good impact player.

Other than that it wasn’t too bad.
