Maybe people didn’t rate him because they’d only seen him played by Caldwell as holding midfielder and he patently isn’t one.
Now, you have got me thinking. If caldwell saw morsy as the holding midfielder for this season & morsy explained to caldwell that that wasnt his position, makes you wonder if that is what led to an alledged argument – hence caldwell shipping out morsy.
Burn hasn’t improved he’s been good all year just that people still cant forget his first few dodgy games. Consistently one of our better players.Totally agree!
Another great game today, terrific addition to the team. But let’s not overlook macdonald, he had a behind the scenes cracker today. That bloke does a terrific job of protecting the defence and covering when we attack. Magnificent game today!Totally agree with you re: mcdonald. Perhaps with morsy back in the team means that he can do his job more effectively.
Are we heckers like out of it. But you can’t knock 3 wins out of 3.
I had THAT feeling when i awoke this morning. I could just feel it. But i didnt want to post anything pre-match in case it all went wrong. When they scored that flukey goal i thought “oh s**t, here we go again!”
We all thought he was a knob for sending him out on loan, now it looks like he was an even bigger knob by playing him in the wrong position to start with.
I thought McDonald had his best game so far for us today, and Max Power looked more like himself back in position.[/quote]
I thought the same myself. But it does beg the question & I really well & truly would have loved to have known what happened between morsy & caldwell at the start of the season. I don’t think we would be in the position we are now had morsy (& in some respects pearce) been here from the start.
Three points today Jammy for the Super Tics and push on for a top half finish. Not so sure about a top half finish donny, 4th from bottom will do for me this season. But yes, 3 points today will do nicely.
You know what, so am i. I woke up this morning really looking forward to today.
As i said donny in my earlier post – he is an ex academy player from his days at utd under joyce. Who knows! Joyce might bring out the best in him.
Again a big well done. Let’s make it a triple next week then we can really believe he can get us out of Caldwell’s mess.
He seems to be doing what some of us have wished for and that’s trying his best to keep a consistent starting eleven together all though he seems to have found a stronger keeper, a stronger midfielder and now a right back.
One Swallow doesn’t make a summer but doesn’t it just feel better.Indeed it does!
What the hell. We could go down and win the cup!!! We’ve done it before. Now that would be some feat. Relegated from both the premier league & championship, but win the cup both times.
I would have thought with him injured until the end of the season, this should now pave the way to bring morrison in.
The problem for me was our first season in the EPL resulting in bandwaggoners or JCL’s coming along – people you just knew would never come again after the first 2 – 3 seasons.
I also, always never liked the times when we played utd & the 2 scouse teams & the club seemed happy to let these wigan born fans of the bigger clubs into our side of the ground. In their eyes it didn’t seem to matter. They just wanted the wigan side of the ground full(ish). Lets be honest. How many times did it create a near “kick-off” when wigan born fans of these teams would celebrate following a goal right in front of the genuine wigan born wigan fans.
I fully agree with super stu barlow who mentioned about the 18000 capacity. IMO, that would have been a more realistic (& still ambitious) capacity for WAFC.
What a shame there was only 3500 Latics die hards there to see it. Embarrassing that so called fans can’t put their hand in their pocket for a tenner.I was in work Tez, unfortunately.
So with regards morsy, is the plan to keep him or to sell him on. Afterall, whatever the result today, he is now cup tied.
