The way i took that line-up, wildschutt was playing as striker with powell behind.
I was slightly confident of a close win today. Now i’m not too sure. Hope i’m wrong. But surprised grigg isn’t starting (methinks something isn’t right there), or lefondre at least.
I suppose i ‘hated’ the rugby since being a kid when my primary school was RIGHT next door to central park. Separated only by a brick wall. Every PE & games lesson – we had to play rugby. Throughout school, i was the only latics fan & the stick i got was unbearable at times – & that was just from the teachers. Then, around 1980 (as i left in ’82 to start high school), we merged with st johns & one of the teachers was a staunch latics fan. I can remember a fantastic conversation with him the following day after we had played man city in the ’81 league cup, when they were awarded a dodgy penalty. I still see said teacher occassionally at games today.
However, fast forward to today & i don’t seem to have the same hatred i once had. Yes, when they play another team, i do want that other team to win. But, i just tend to leave them be now & let them go their way, whilst i go mine.Whichever formation a team plays means absolutely jacksh1te. If played correctly the 4231 formation can work wonders. Unfortunately since being promoted GC adopted a more tentative & cautious approach & thats why the football was boring at times.
If WJ likes to play attacking football & has played the 4231 formation throughout his coaching life, then we might, just might see some good attacking football with the right kind of service to grigg (or le fondre).
We wont find out if you don’t tell us, its no use coming on here bragging you knew Joyce had been appointed 48 hours before the rest of us then refuse to tell us, people will think you’re telling fibs. :blush

Passing football can be exciting when the ball is being passed around quickly. Just watch how LFC do it. IMO they are very exciting to watch at the moment.
