Sorry, it does sound a bit pointless dosen’t it. What i was meant to say b4 internet packed in, if we had won those said games which i think would have put us on 35 points, thus requiring probably one more win for safety, would the comments from both lightside & darkside be ones of positivity, negativity or some other comnent.
i’m going to agree with a darksider & say hindley, i kind of agree with your comment. usually the way at wigan – good player comes along & we sell him – always been the case though.
i think at a lower level we will get more goals as i believe the championship to be more the level of di santo & sammon. however, as i have said in an earlier subject – we are only a couple of decent strikers from being a decent team – not world beaters, just decent. but sadly, decent strikers dont want to come to or we cant afford at wigan.
my prayers are with him
filmoss quoted: “i have said it many times it will be our lack of firepower will see us down”
we agree on something. ;)
for all the nice football we play, we cannot hit the net, & it is this what will send us down – not the team or manager being crap.
Tbh if u asked me would i rather stay up or go down i would prefer the former c/o playing in the best league, best players etc etc & blah blah. But only if we could compete in it at a good level ie the 9 – 14th position. However if we were to stay up we would struggle yet again hence moaning fans coming on here berating the team, manager (whoever it may be as bruce & jewell have also been berated on here). If we did stay up we would need to invest in a couple of decent strikers used to playing in that lone striker role. I feel since we signed beausjor he has added bakan e on the left for instance. Maybe it has taken bobby longer than his initial 3 years first thought to get the team where he wants & may have left it too late now, but as i said previously we are only strikers short of being a decent team – not worldbeaters, just decent. But as we dont gave said strikers we will struggle if we were to stay up.
But whatever our opinions are of the team, manager, whelan, ‘&& each other lets get behind & the team & dont moan or groan when things go wrong even though it may be frustrating, lets keep getting behind them & who knows they may pull of a great escape like west ham did a few years ago. Wigan till i die.I am not an idiot filmoss. I just feel we create a few chances but no end product. As for being a middle of the league team in the championship – we probably will be to be honest but just think how stress free it will be like the old days. But i forgot you have only been watching wigan during the past few seasons so have seen nothing but good times. Time you had a reality check of being a wigan supporter.
i would start him from the off next week. did very well when he came on.
i agree with bob 16. lets go out fighting if need be. lets spur the lads on & get behind them all the time as opposed to moaning every time something goes wrong
donny’s page – it wasn’t just europe that died upon selling those players, it was the clubs ambition for premier league status.
as much as i liked bobby as a player, a gentleman & for all his loyal service to the club in general, sadly its not working, so for me & i’m sorry – GO!!
its happened a few times this season.
30 years for me and if anybody would of said any of this would of happened when all them years ago me and a couple of hundred others were sat infront of Jack Sudworth and John James at Wigan Pier contenplating the clubs future, i’d of thought you were mad.this is now my 33rd year & despite my recent doom & gloom i agree with what you say. its been a good ride & who knows – it could happen again. every club goes down at some point, & we may have a few years in the doldrums or we may come back at the first time of asking. the joys of being a football fan.
he isn’t the only summariser to say it. the problem is that bobby isn’t getting the message & can’t see where he is going wrong.
