Looked like 4-4-2 till sending off. Flat back 4. Elder, Burn,Dunkley and Byrne.
4 in midfield, Massy on right, Evans / Morsy in middle and Jacobs roaming.
Toney and Powell up front.Shhhh JR! Don’t let donny hear you say 4-4-2 :)
if we can keep hold of morsy burn powell then i feel we will do very well& grigg
There will be plenty good Saturday nights and Monday mornings this season. Are you sure you are the real donny. So so positive. Either that or the dr has changed your pills.
I was kind of surprised he started ahead of grigg. Is this because grigg isn’t yet fully match fit, or for another reason :(
Whatever, we won. Fantastic start, well done lads.Well done donny. Keep up the positive posts ;)
Seems the new boss prefers all the players we’ve borrowed rather than our own players that have been on the trip to Spain to bond and the lads who have worked together for the last couple of months!Perhaps that says something about our own players donny.
Oh dear. Callum elder sent off!
0 – 1. Powell
Get in!doing things on the cheap again. I am all for running club sensibly but this is turning into a p155 take. They won’t be getting a penny off me this season. I’ve had enough! We are doing things on the cheap again because our parachute payments have STOPPED! The club is doing what it is doing to:
a) continue to exist.
b) to ensure that there is a football club for the likes of you, i & others to continue watching.
c) you will find a lot of clubs are in a similar boat, especially at league 1 & 2 level.Just enjoy the fooking ride.
My mate is a die hard Everton fan. Lives, breathes and bleeds the club. He’s had a season ticket since 1985 and yet this season, he hasn’t got one. Why? Because he cocked up and missed the deadline date for renewals, realising the morning after. He contacted the club to explain his error, and that it was a simple mistake. Guess what? Nothing doing. They ‘allowed’ him to pay £30 to become an official member and have a chance of winning a ticket in the ballot. Guess what? He didn’t. His name is on a 5000 strong waiting list now. He tried all sorts via friends and contacts, speaking the the real hierachy at the club. Nothing worked. He even had friends who are die hard Liverpool fans writing to Everton for him, vouching what a great fan he is.
It gets better. Being a die hard, he’s gone out to Ruzemberok in Slovakia for tonight’s game. He’s flown via dusseldorf and krakow, before going into Slovakia in a mini bus. He’s spent about £400 and that’s before beer and food. He has NOT got a match ticket and the lad he thought would sort him out, hasn’t done. He has been sending me pics of drinking at bars and beer gardens all day, with his Everton flag tied up proud among others.
You know what the ironic thing is? I will probably see more of the game (on telly) than he will.
The morale of this story is, the next time you are criticising Latics, just appreciate the fact that we do actually support a club who HASN’T got too big for its boots and who cannot and will not cast aside genuine, die hard supporters like that. My mate has lost countless jobs due to his devotion to Everton…he will continue to as well. One of the best supporters a club could have…actually obsessed with Everton. And look where it’s got him?
We may be a small club in comparison, but I’d hate us to ever get like that as a club.
Reading some posts on different threads over the past couple of days, we’ll never get to those heights vat. Heading back to non league in 5 years we are!
If we sell our best assests, it will be mid table obscurity.
Keep our best assets & we will definitely be top 6.
I am quietly confident we could take this league by storm and win it. That’s me being positive as usual.
We have the squad and the only ones who has gone we could miss are Bogle a proven goalscorer and one of the experienced keepers but with the midfield we have and Will up top there is no reason to not go all out for a win every game and piss the league. All could depend on if we sell assets before September.Welcome back Donny some right miserable twot, a Victor Meldrew wannabee has been posting some right negative depressive posts using your moniker lately. Nice to have the real one back getting behind the club. Cmon you tics.
:) :) :)
Season Tickets have arrived today.
Looking forward to us getting going!
Did you move over to the east stand vat?
Yes. Wanted a side view, rather than looking down the pitch as we did last season. Didn’t enjoy it at all last season. Had some idiot behind us with a big gob who kept quipping stuff like “don’t worry, we’ll get 5 second half” and laughing and joking all the time….
Not ideal when you are playing crap and your blood is already simmering. Another season with foghorn behind us, I’d have snapped. It was either him, or two old coots “statler and waldorf” who were also behind us. Glad to have moved to ‘top of East’ away from such imbeciles.
Is that ES6?

I see on the official page that over 1000 tickets sold for MK Dons, but nothing seems to have been said about how many ST’s have been sold. Is it normal not to announce it, or is it only announced after the first home game?– and no I don’t have a ST, and haven’t for years as I work 1 in 3 weekends.
I get 1 weekend off in 3 too, but this years fixtures have been kind to me personally – especially the 2nd half of the season.
