132 posts on a thread about how someone who is no longer at the club is doing elsewhere, when we have just played a historic match on Thursday, and have an important game tomorrow?
:woohoo:
I really don’t know how good the opposition was last night. Yes they have just sacked their manager, yes they have played in the champions league, yes they are supposed to be the second best team in Slovinia, so where does that put um in the club rankings.?
Although it doesn’t relate directly club-on-club, it is interesting for our detractors and those who mocked our relegation to consider the order of richest leagues in Europe:
1. Premier League
2. Bundesliga
3. La Liga
4. Serie A
5. Ligue 1
6. Russian Football Premier League
7. ChampionshipSource: Page 6, Deloitte Annual Review of Football Finance 2013
http://www.deloitte.com/assets/Dcom-UnitedKingdom/Local%20Assets/Documents/Industries/Sports%20Business%20Group/deloitte-uk-sbg-arff-2013-highlights-download.pdfWe are in the 7th richest league in Europe – above Holland, Portugal, Sweden, Belgium etc etc. Even Slovenia :)
And where have I accused you of anything? I am responding to the unknown somebody, whose comments you have seen fit to repeat without condemnation or comment.
somebody mention our local Poles might have been involved.
Yeah, because they’re all “foreign” aren’t they?
Poles and Slovenes have nothing in common besides vague similarities in the language in the same way that English and Norwegian are related. Why would “our local Poles” get involved?
I presume you mean not including the game two weeks ago in Belgium?
Without digging too deep:
Thursday 26 December 2002 at Port ValeAlways used to be the case that the late gate stayed open to half-time. After that see one of the stewards.
I may not be able to be there for kick off tomorrow too.

I’ve just had a quick look on the book a seat online page, and you can book for East Stand easily.
Mutty, Mutty, Mutty, old chap
You really aren’t understanding the principles of fan message boards, in particular this one. So I will explain.
(1) Latics fans posting positive messages about Latics.
Rare on here I know, but fine.(2) Non-Latics fans posting positive messages about Latics.
Fine, and actually welcome.(3) Latics fans posting negative messages about Latics.
Disappointing, but acceptable. This is after all a Latics’ fans board. We do not operate the same policy as for example Red & White Kop, which deletes and bans anyone not toeing the “party line”.(4) Non-Latics fans posting negative messages about Latics.
Not acceptable, in the same way that C&W moderate such things out (and there is sufficient evidence from people here that have tried to do it that it happens frequently). Why should we have to listen to outsiders’ views? See point (3).(5) Latics fans posting any comments about non-Latics issues (eg rugby league, rugby union, cricket, basketball, baseball or synchronised swimming) . Allowed as long as it’s in the right sub-forum. But don’t expect a flood of replies.
(6) Non-Latics fans posting as in the point above. Likely to get deleted as being not at all relevant to this board.
You are in danger of consistently breaching points (4) and (6).
worldwide being the few countries that play rugby league.
To be honest I think if you go to Perth or Darwin they’ll look at you blankly.
New Zealand is a hotbed of Rugby Union and the All Blacks.
If you mention “jeu a treize” outside of Perpignan you may get Gallic shrugs.
And even in England mention the word “rugby” in Leicester, Bristol, Northampton, Sale, Gloucester, Newcastle etc etc and see what people think you’re talking about.
Now, why don’t you just forget about the rugby team in Wigan – rather like C&W have forgotten there is a soccerball team. I cant remember the last time there was a mention of you on there.
That may be because of their moderation policy.
Are you suggesting that we should do the same?
Because I’m very happy to.
But what if I don’t want them?
I think the problem for the rest of us is not that they get sorted when they try that at Millwall, Wolves, Birmingham or wherever. That’s their problem. They can expect no help from me.
It’s that we’ll all get tarred with that brush – more checks going into the ground, more harassment from the police when you’re just trying to get to your car (a la Wolves a few seasons back), less tickets available.
I really don’t know what the answer is.
Latics fans in Euro-bus rowhttp://www.wigantoday.net/news/local/latics-fans-in-euro-bus-row-1-6083752
Is that the same link I posted just three posts above? :)
Hi George they are different to the one I have ordered which was given out before the game. Obviously these weren’t available to fans before the game. One of them was printed after the game started and the other was after the game finished.
Where did you get them from? Looked on the UEFA web site and can’t find them there? If you got to the match report (or in fact any match report), eg
http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2014/matches/round=2000469/match=2012482/index.html, or
http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2014/matches/round=2000469/match=2012483/index.htmlunder the lineups is a box marked “press kits”.
