Didnt know we get a bye into the next round due to being in Europe – Happy days!
Cant say I am fussed about this Micky Mouse cup anyway.
FA Cup double on the horizon I tell ye.
No we got a bye because we finished higher up in the league than QPR. Reading have also got a bye as they also finished above QPR.
Sorry guys but nowt to do with the Europa Cup.[/quote]
Sorry JR but it is because we are in Europe
I heard that he was seen on a grassy knoll in Dallas, and that’s why some people don’t like him
Need to consider too that those injuries were significantly weighted towards defenders.
Clicking through gives abit more “meat”:
http://www.physioroom.com/news/english_premier_league/clubs/32/wigan_athletic_injuries.html“All together now” – Beatles.
Or is that too much to hope for from the “I’m never going again” crowd?
I suspect they’d “never go again while that mon’s in charge”. ;)
Just as important, are there any restrictions on pies?As long as they comply with European regulations:
The minimum meat content requirements for pies have been simplified in
comparison to those previously contained in the MPSFPR. The same minima
apply, regardless of the type of meat used. The new minima contained in the
MPR are all calculated on the basis of the weight of the ingredients in the
uncooked food. Therefore, where the pie is sold cooked, it is possible that the
QUID declaration will not be the same as the “meat content” for the purposes
of the compositional requirements (Example 4 in Annex D provides an
example of this).21
Item 9 in the Schedule applies to the name “pie” or “pudding” qualified by the
word meat or the name of a type of meat, and also by the name of a food
other than meat. An example might be “chicken and mushroom pie”.
This description would also apply to e.g., “steak and kidney pie”, since kidney
is the name of a food which is not “meat” within the meaning of the new
definition and Regulation 2 of the MPR.http://www.food.gov.uk/multimedia/pdfs/meatproductguidancescot.pdf
:cheer:
All that “Believing Stuff” came to no good.I never thought we’d win the FA Cup – but we did. So it must have worked to some extent.
No, JR. It is definitely a myth, I’m afraid.
A lot of clubs do apply the tale by flying triangular flags, but there is no truth in it, and if another club wants to fly a triangular flag then there is nothing to stop them.
The story appears everywhere in message boards but no-one has ever found a clear source to it, but most quote the film “Twin Town” as the source! Hardly proof. :)
I think the FA should know if they have any rules about this. There certainly is nothing in the Laws of the Game – as was said in the reply there have to be flags at the corners, at least 5 foot high with a non-pointed top.
Is it just me or did Whelan look a disappointed man in this interview. He did not sound upbeat about his appointment nor did his body language look positive. I got the distinct impression that he wanted Mclaren to be manager, but he wasn’t willing to work with a one year contract or Whelan had offered him £2 million pounds for his transfer kitty. It is just you.
Interesting isn’t it, that if Coyle is so bad why are Burnley fans still so upset at him? Surely if he was rubbish they would be glad he left them?
The truth is of course that they thought he was doing a good job.
I thought he might stay, but we have been relegated and there will be a major change in playing staff.
We’ll get over it.
The day I start to worry about what Bolton fans think of our manager is the day I book myself into a retirement home
It’s a rolling contract so the carrot is always there in front of him, he always has twelve months security, but we don’t have to pay out huge amounts if it goes pear shaped.
What’s wrong with that? Sounds an excellent bit of business to me.
And what’s all this rowlocks that he can’t keep the players fit?
They’re professionals – they should be keeping themselves fit, not having a quick fag when teacher isn’t watching. Maybe it’s the Bolton players who needed to sort themselves out, and maybe with that attitude it’s no wonder they failed.
