We are also one of only a handfull of clubs to have played finals at the Millenium Stadium, old Wembley and new Wembley.
And Springfield Park – don’t forget the Lancashire Junior Cup :)
If we win it we go straight to the Group stage. If we qualify as runners-up we go in at the same stage that the 5th place would, ie the play-off stage – one game before the group stage. swansea will enter at the 3rd Qualifying Round.

Tooked away in this weeks Wigan Observer was a did you know? If Wigan manage to reach the final they will be the first team to reach the finals of the FA Trophy, the Football League Trophy (Auto Windscreen), The League Cup and the FA Cup. Apologies if this has already been mentioned, have not seen it. So much for our little club having no history. We also have played in all four divisions of the League.
Nope….he’s an ex cop who was in the Met…as i said could be BSRead the Millwall boards. The most consistent version is that drunken guys returning to their seats were falling over everyone, and knocked kids over. Parents then got annoyed and laid into the drunks. No police presence meant the situation escalated.
This clip taken from the Millwall end seems to back this up, as there’s no evidence this was anyone “looking for someone else”, but pushing, shoving etc that got significantly out of hand.

Your “source”, if they exist, is total BS.
40 years ago, in a couple of weeks time…we lost at Wembley. In the FA trophy
In 1985 we won the Freight Rover at Wembley.
14 years later in 1999 we won the Autowindscreens Shield at Wembley.
2013 is 14 years on again ………..
Seems to make more sense than the Spanish version if you don’t speak Spanish
To be fair it’s not normal stewards’ jobs to get involved with public order issues like that. They are often students or similar who are there to help people find their seats etc for a small payment.
There usually also are “support teams” (at the DW they’re called GRS (Ground Regulations Stewards)) who look after breaches of ground regulations and eject people, but on yesterday’s scale it should have been fast police involvement.
Has to be from a URL. Load into Flickr or some similar piuc/video host.
This site doesn’t take pics uploaded from a PC directly (like Facebook for example)
I cant read Spanish.Ah well :(
If you have ITV Player the ITV highlights are available on it
Maximum exposure to whom? The Falkland Islands?
5pm in UK is about 2am in Asia. I know it’s not much better, but 3pm would be about midnight.
For Europe whether 3pm or 5pm is irrelevant, and the States 5pm would be noon on the East Coast and 9am on the West Coast – hardly likely to get the country excited. Especially in baseball season.
as long as i can remember, the fa cup final has always been played at wembley,
Except when it was at Cardiff ;)
The world-wide audience thing doesn’t hold water. Late kick offs only help viewers in the States, and then the time zones won’t make it reasonable time. Grand Prixs are usually raced (with the exception of the Far East) to be at 2pm UK time. Even Abu Dhabi and Singapore are “night races”. So global sports use standard British time as the measure.
For Asia – the big new football market – a 5pm kick off is even worse that 3pm.
