I can understand Whelan trying to defend McManaman to lessen the impact of whatever ban is coming his way ….
I think it’s to lessen the impact of all the Press witch-hunt.
Who’s everyone talking about now?
Who can handle that much better than a young lad who now has become the replacement for Osama bin Laden in most people’s eyes?Abramovich wouldn’t do this. We have a very good Chairman. He knows what he’s doing.
Every muppet’s now joining in.
I’ve just had an e-mail to my website address from “Tony Sarginson” that says:
“Your chairman should be ashamed. The way your club has dealt with the assault on the Newcastle player is a discrace.”
I’ve replied “Tell him then, not me”
Sheesh!
At last – something to unite all our fans behind our club.
What’s laughable (well, one of many things that’s laughable) is in comments for example on Daily Mail’s site that “I always liked Wigan but now I want them to go down”.
I haven’t seen anyone liking us since we got promoted. “Low crowds blah blah. Don’t deserve a Premier team blah blah. Rugby town blah blah.”
We are Wigan. Little Wigan. No-one likes us. We don’t care…..
Will give a lot of TV watchers a problem of who to favour in the semi.
Hardly an objective viewpoint though :)
That’s “hairist”, Griff
Very good item from Graham Poll.
Callum is nowhere near being in there, but three of the ten are by Newcastle players and one of the others is on Jordi Gomez.
Self-righteous nonsense coming out of Newcastle at the moment. The mixture of Pardew and their supporters (who ran riot over local match yesterday near the Soccerdome stealing equipment and swinging on the crossbars in an attempt to break them), is sickening.
Hope they go down and stay down.
If he’s forced to be on Talks*** then that says it all
Can they not wear the gold shirt worn the last time Latics played Millwall at Wembley? They could choose to wear a gold kit, but it would be different from the last one as that was made by Adidas
You don’t know much about “sudworth”
cant see us beating newcastle
so we can concentrate on getting to a cup final as the league is getting too hard for the likes of usI really don’t understand your logic here.
Are you genuinely suggesting that the players as they run out on the pitch today are thinking “don’t think I’ll bother today. This is getting too hard. I’ll save my energy for the Cup game at Wembley – because Roberto’s going to pick me for sure”?
Is that REALLY what you’re saying?
Can’t believe people are replying to this :P
3-1 to West ham ha ha ha Classic ! God bless him RIP !

Brought a tear to my eye that vid.
What a nob that reporter was tho “You’re not going to speak though are you?” Twat[/quote]Having elderly relatives I think the conversation before had been about him going on the pitch and he’ll have said (off camera) “I’m not going to speak though, you know. Don’t do that sort of thing”.
The reporter has then just carried the little private joke into the on-screen report.
That’s how I see it anyway.
I’m of the view that we need to be clocking up points ourselves (starting tomorrow) and not worry what anyone else is doing
Hao Yu No is one of our multis
This indicates City believe they are playing on Sunday
