There is a non-football where former England cricketers can be discussed.
Damn! Beat me to it
Record defeat previously 1-6 against Bristol Rovers 3/3/1990.
Excuse me if I don’t update that on my website for a day or so.
So why’s that Martinez’s fault – and getting someone else in will do exactly what with this load of wasters?
Even I, with my glass-half-full-rose-tinted-it’ll-be-all-right-on-the-night view, think this is an absolute disgrace
Can we shut the board down for a few days JayT :D
Better shutting the club down. Thrashed again and you know as well as I do, there will be no investment to change things.
Whelan f off and take the Spanish custard with ya.
Whelan and Martinez aren’t out on the pitch. Not their fault, it’s the lazy ones who are pretending that they’re professional footballers.
Suggest we play the Youth team next week – maybe they’ll have a bit of heart.
Radio 5 have even transferred their commentary across to Stoke because we’re so bad.
5 :(
Why not go to White Hart Lane and buy one today?
A teaser from the article I’m putting together (which has plaguerism written all over it!!):‘Geoff Davies signed for Latics in the summer of 1970 for a reported £800.00p from Northwich Vics.
He scored no less that five hat-tricks within the first three months of signing and ended up with 42 goals that season (1970/71) with Gordon Milne, Derek Temple, Jim Fleming and Graham Oates providing the ammunition as Latics powered their way to the Northern Premier League title.
He went on to have spells at Chester, Wrexham, Port Vale and Wimbledon
I’m well impressed!
To anyone from the club who keeps an eye on here – well done!!
Of course I’m just waiting for someone on here who says that they should really have had a stall on Ashton market……
Always been sit anywhere.
No indications of it not being so tonight – well, I’ve not got a pre-booked table anyway!!
As for Champagne moments, walking away from the Newcastle game in our first season in the premiership was amazing, being top for a night was an achievement.
We were second ;)
Was on holiday for that game and the beer was certainly flowing afterward
Correct – we actually were top of the Premier when we beat Sunderland a couple of years ago at the JJB. Funny thing was everyone was really quiet outside (much to the Sunderland fans’ puzzlement) as we were too stunned to realise!
I have no problem with when someone started watching Latics – whether it was in the 1930s, in NPL days, when we got into the League, promoted to the Premier League or last week.
The acid test will be one for looking at in retrospect – when things got rocky (as they will at some stage) did they “keep the faith”? If they did – then they are a “not JCL”. If they wilted and went back to armchair watching, supporting Manyoo, or th’Warriors – then they were a JCL.
Figgy to Sunderland for £5 million?
Thought the transfer window was closed. Not seen any announcement about this.
Bruce has gone on record as saying he wants him in January, even though he’ll be buying an injured player…
I am happy to be put on record that I want to win the lottery this weekend.
Don’t mean it’s going to happen :D

…. and they wonder why we don’t want them
