I hope they go out the league, horrible fookin club, horrible knuckle dragging a fans, hate the shithole. Knock it down and get some shops on it.
To be honest, that says an awful lot about you
It must be one hell of a good hotel because it seems that’s all anyone interested in. I wonder what goes on in there?
But without a club surely the hotel can’t that profitable can it?Near a motorway junction not far from Manchester.
Marketed right it could be profitable, not to mention the conference trade.1) Simply drop Marshall & play Jones in goal. He for one is a very good commander of his defence. And I for one actually preferred him to Walton if I’m being honest.I think it’s too late for him to save his job.
He seems to have lost the confidence of the players, he has certainly lost the confidence of (most of) the fans, he even seems to have lost confidence in himself.
I am equally sure he has lost the confidence of the Board (why should they be different, except that they actually have money resting on success), and it’s only really a matter of time while they sort out a replacement.
After Barnsley they have two weeks because of the international break – a gap to give them the opportunity to bed someone new in.
Only an absolute storming win against Barnsley could even give him hope.Yesterday was a bad result no doubt about it, but before shouting Cook Out, just remember it’s not how you start a season, it’s how you finish (2018-19!)We survived by the skin of our teeth. More by good luck and the skill of Reece James than tactical wizadry by Cook.
We could easily have gone down.Absolutely amazing stuff!
I don’t think he will go before the next game but if we lose that one he will be on his bike.If he goes now/tomorrow then that means only one game under a caretaker manager with the international break. That could give the owners three weeks to find someone else (if they aren’t already sorting that)
Woah woah woah.I voted leave for reasons none of which were racist and nor have I abused anyone on social media for being black.
Society is f***** currently and has been for a while but racism has been around for years. Wigan rugby players had bananas thrown at them in the 80s (and 70s tbh) and that was f*** all to do with Brexit.
No-one at all is suggesting you are. Nor is anyone saying that large numbers of Leave voters did so for reasons that are racist.
The point though is that those of that ilk, who as you say have been around for ages, now feel that they can crawl out from their rocks, because THEY think the vote was against ‘ forriners’ and THEY think that it’s now OK to behave that way.
Racism and xenophobia has always been there, you are right, but it has been suppressed. It is. now coming out into the open from those who don’t understand, who have listened to Farage, and can’t grasp that in or out of the EU it is still not acceptable.I am not at all blaming Brexit or people who voted to leave – they had their own reasons.
But it is clear to me that nutjobs have been emboldened to think their way of thinking is now acceptable.
It isn’t, among any reasonable minded person, Leave or Remain.I could score in that league

Time to go .Doesn’t matter what we think about Cook, and I like him as a person, but I’m afraid IEC see that they financially supported building what we have all agreed is a good squad, but the results are not what they want.
The clock is ticking, and if he is still here at the weekend he needs a good result.“Arguing with me that its perfectly alright to have a referee from West Yorkshire for a game v Leeds? Oh fuck off! Please”
Dave
You really are doing yourself no favours with either your attitude or language.10 November 2012 Wigan v West Brom – referee Neil Swarbrick from Preston
5 April 2014 – same referee, from the same place, Wigan v Leeds. Did we or they complain then?
20 Feb 2015 Wigan v Charlton – referee Chris Kavanagh from Manchester
27 January 2018 – same referee – Wigan v West HamThese are just a few that I have very quickly found.
All of these according to your complaints would be biased to us. Wouldn’t they?If its right he is from Huddersfield, I sincerely hope the club kick up a fuss about it…a bloody massive fuss, because thats dodgy in the extreme.
Just because he’s from a neighbouring town doesn’t mean that he would favour Leeds.
Huddersfield and Leeds are rivals: would you expect a ref from Preston or Bolton to favour us?
He was just out of his depth, and lost the plot. Nothing more sinister.
Sorry but I cant agree.
How big is this country? And they had to have a referee from Huddersfield, officiating a game involving Leeds? Its the next town! Someone said that hos brother was/is a referee and wasnt/isnt allowed to officiate huddersfield, leeds, or Bradford matches. If thats right, our club needs to say something.
If its true, it stinks.
I ask you again.
We have had refs from Bolton and Preston and they have been criticised for being anti-Wigan. What’s the difference?
Is “someone said” really a solid basis for a discussion?
I’ll tell you something.
Many people on here will know a very very good former local referee, Ammy League secretary/press officer etc, stalwart of the game. Rewarded with an MBE. Initials DO.
Mate of mine.
Told the tale that once someone accused him of being a cheat.
Instantly sent off.
Dave’s statement to him says what I think most, if not all (Tyldesley back me up on this) match officials think.
“Call me incompetent. That’s fine. You’re probably right.
Call me a cheat, then you are off. I do not cheat. I do not favour one team over the other. I do this unthankful job because I love the game, not to give one team or other an advantage.
I may get things wrong. In fact I do get things wrong. Frequently. And it worries me. But that’s my failing, not a deliberate act.
Never ever ever call me a cheat”Come off it garswood. The guy was clearly a leeds fan. Probably has an LUFC tattoo as wellI suppose the way he was joining in all the songs was a giveaway ;)
