I’m going to Playa Blanca! On a Sabbath note, going to watch ‘Black Zeppelin'( Wigan based band ) on Saturday in Preston, great Led Zepp/Sabbath covers band. First half they do Led Zepp stuff then second half is old Sabbath stuff up to Vol4 ! Have you come across them before? I saw them at The Talbot in Burnley and was impressed enough to arrange to see them this Saturday as well!

I keep meaning to catch them I’ve heard they’re good, just need to get off my lazy arse.

’Feuteurventura’ ? Not heard of that, where is it? Is it similar to Fuerteventura ? On a serious note, how’s the weather in The Canaries as I’m going to Lanzarote in just over 4 weeks? I know it’s a month off but I’ve been told that the weather out that way ain’t been as good as usual for this time of year so I’m panicking!

I don’t know if it’s still open but there used to be a Wigan Athletic bar in Lanzarote, not sure if it was in Puerto del Carmen or costa teguise, it was in one of them.

But their fickle fans can never even vaguely understand or appreciate our joy when we do have a success.

The armchair pub going Utd fans can not get their heads around supporting a lower division club it’s completely alien to them. The new breed premier era Utd fan can not stomach anything but success.

If any Utd fans read this I’ll leave the final word to the late great Jim Bowen.

“Look what you could of won”

Looks like being a big away following on Sunday but reading their fans forums quite a few don’t fancy their chances. If we can make a good start it might be a quiet away end the negativity will spread like a wildfire. Lets ES2 are up for it.

Could really do with them being managerless on Sunday, or better still what’s OFC up to these days.

You would think the life style he leads, the money, the privilege, not having to worry about the issues normal people worry about, you would think he could rise above someone taking the piss. Disgusting prick!

I’d take a guess and say 3 victories is the record and a win on Sunday will set a new record unlikely ever to be broken and that’s why 18008 will turn out to witness it.

Expect the excitement and cup fever to build during the week, one game away from Wembley and an incredible run by a third tier team.

We’ve knocked 3 prem teams out so far including one of the best club sides in the world, I seem to remember Liverpool winning it one year and not facing a top tier side.

The town of Wigan should have a bit of pride in what the football club has achieved, get down to the DW on Sunday and support the boys.

For Southend and Blackpool pre City read Scunthorpe and Bradford pre Southampton.

    We’re doomed Mr Mainwarring!

Yeah you have a point there Donny, as long as we have a ‘never say die’ attitude we’ll be OK.

Time for us to turn up the heat and melt the iron………….I’ll get me coat.

It’s been an incredible achievement getting this far when you consider the quality of our opponents we have beaten along the way, Win next Saturday and it surely has to be the greatest ever cup run by a third tier club to reach the semis.

Next week is down to the club and the local media to sell this game, to fire up peoples imagination we are after all just one game away from Wembley.

And if we win next week you know what will happen. Spurs in the semis at their home ground.

Think he’s been gargling with the same Dettol that Sean Dyche uses !

Both have the sort of voice that would make them brilliant Debt Collectors.
